Red face Introduction of Roy Roebuck - 02-09-2008, 07:01 PM

Hi Everyone;

I came across this site through a casual search.

1. Where are you from. I live in Burke, VA, USA. I am originally from Arkansas.

2. How did you locate the website. Casual search.

3. What got you interested in the Theory of Everything. I have a very light Bachelor's in Physics, but over the years I have kept up with what I refer to as "holistic", "integrative", and "unification" topics.

4. Do you have a unique perspective? I have come to accept that there is only one thing, and everything else is a part. I call this perspective "oneness", which encompasses scientific, social, and perceptual aspects of our knowledge of the world.

5. Where did you go to school and what did you study. I went to High School in Conway, AR. I received my BA in 1975, in Physics, with a strong emphasis on social science (no minors offered) from Hendrix College, in Conway, AR. I received my MS in 1985, in Systems Management, focusing on the "organization as a system". I have taken one Ph.D. course in Complex Change Management from Touro University, in their Business Administration program.

6. What areas are you most familiar with or interested in. I am most familiar with management, terminology, semantics, management and information architecture, general semantics, and panentheism.

7. Have you written any books or publications? I have a long-evolved set of articles, my treatise on "oneness" from a science, societal, and perceptual basis, at http://www.one-world-is.com. My other "publications", focused on what I refer to as my "generalized endeavor management" (GEM) approach, are at http://www.one-world-is.com/rer/owis/publications.htm.

8. What past influences have shaped your opinion of our world and its greater reality. This might be family, culture, education, various leaders, scientists, religion, personal experience, etc. In studying physics and later systems management, I came to understand that our science, and everything we know and perceive, is only and approximation of the total reality around us. The only real absolute in that there is only one thing, and we are all interdependent parts within it.

9. If you have a website that could be helpful in our TOE quest, you are welcome to summarize and provide a link. See http://www.one-world-is.com.

10. If you're an author of a book or publication that could be helpful, you're welcome to provide that information as well. See my online publications at http://www.one-world-is.com/rer/owis/publications.htm.

Hi Roy:

Welcome to the forum. I took a cursory look at your one world post and will revisit it as time permits.

Your statistics regarding the % of the people on Earth and what they own and have is very interesting and informative. ( I made a copy of it )

I agree with your Oneness of the universe and living like it's Heaven on Earth, because I believe both to be true.

Best to you sir, and again welcome,

Pat

(George Berkeley, 1710) ... lay the beginning in a distinct explication of what is meant by thing, reality, existence: for in vain shall we dispute concerning the real existence of things, or pretend to any knowledge thereof, so long as we have not fixed the meaning of those words.
