Dear all,
I am a new member so I would like to introduce myself. I come originally from Egypt where I finished my undergraduate studies in Pharmacology and biological sciences. After that, I went to Germany (where I am currently in) to study neurosciences where I completed master courses and I am currently pursuing my PhD focusing on Theoretical neurosciences.
I have ever been interested in physics generally but astrophysics specially since I was at high school as I went by then through preliminary books on origin of the universe, black holes and string theory. I have always been fascinated by this quest to find a unified theory for every phenomenon perceived in nature. In addition to my physics reading, I had a philosophy course during my High school which had a strong impact on my life and that led me to question the notions we perceive as intuitive. This combination of physics and philosophy interests have led me to view my biological studies through a unique framework which is "Is a unified theory of biological beings equivalent to a unified theory of the universe ? How both of the underlying principle of the organism cross talk with the universal principles of the universe at its very foundational level ?"
This led me to be very interested in Neurosciences as the study of the brain . But what does the brain have to do with the theory of everything ? The brain is supposed to be simply speaking (the situation is much more complicated !!) our window to the universe (perceived universe) through which we view, analyze and infer a perceived reality. The question that follows is : Is a theory of brain would help to establish new principles of reality? and hence a new physics ? This is the kind of questions I am interested in and that I would like to share it with you during my participation in the forum and its discussion.
I hope my introduction was not long and I would be waiting for your feedback and questions...
Zamakany
