Do you mean the egoic image? Do you mean in any specific moment? Of what identity di you speak? In a moment when i am a parent, for instance, my identity, to many Perspectives would be 'a father'. At other moments, a 'blacksmith', or another moment might reveal a mystic.. What Identity do you mean? I am, beyond the appearances, Conscious Perspective, as are you. That 'Self' is not different from moment to moment...

to attach to

...and is who I Am. There is nothing to which to attach that is not gone a moment later. That seems to be the basis of Buddha's teaching about attachment being a cause of suffering; all things, all moments, all universes, all lovers, all bodies, all existence is passing, momentarily...
To what passing star 'should' I 'attach to'? To what fleeting dream? And why? Is something 'wrong' with Now!? Here!? Is anything other than what 'is', possible? Never been any evidence in support.
To 'attach' to a dream... What an odd notion. To 'attach', meaning to 'identify with'? A;; concepts in mind are just that, concepts. 'Should' i identify with a 'concept' and not another?
The universe is uniquely different, from moment to moment, as am the manifested 'I'. To what must I 'cling' that will not pass?

Woah there cowboy! This tells me waaay too much.
First, that you feel that you have somehow learned enough of what I might think and feel that you feel comfortable in this categorization/judgement of my 'mind', 'set' or not. Personally I thibnk that any 'mind-set' is death of critical thought and enter a 'belief'. In which of my word or two do you find sufficient data for your wildly assertive statment. Your assumption, as are so many assumptione, is erroneous. You might just keep an eye on my posts, learn and understand what I might offer, and after a hundred hours or so, than judge if you must. But this? This is more of a premature ejac than an accurate and supported attempted 'ad hom'?

You could define what you mean by 'truth' for instance? Just so I know what you are talking about.
And then, perhaps, a short definition of 'reality'? Again, so I can understand your 'teaching'.

It depends on, as I said, Perspective, context, in the universe of the moment of definition by and for and as a particular Perspective.
I might see myself as a 'father' at the same moment that you perceive me as a 'blacksmith'. I might be a 'selfless' moment, or I might be the entire universe.. it all (existence/'the' universe) depends on the Perspective of the moment.
