The scientific term for that is permittivity, however others call it vacuum energy, quantum foam, Aether, and spacetime; I think you’re the first I’ve heard call it god though.

If someone came to you for some lessons in gardening and proceeded to inform you that your knowledge of shrubs and flowers were screwed-up; would you provide any training without correcting their misconceptions first? I’m simply trying to correct your misconceptions and probably will do so in any science postings you may present.

Is saying there is no god any more blunt and presumptuous than saying there is a god? I think you are missing the point; it is not for others to prove someone’s conjecture is wrong but for those who make the claim to prove their claim is true. Authority figures like the pope are not proof of anything other than the gullibility of the human race; he’s just another CEO of a big company - One that doesn’t even produce a product; you know, something like Al Gore’s “carbon credits” company.

Now, if your theory is going to be scientific, then you will need to understand the fundamental rules for providing the empirical data needed to support the theory. Is the evidence you claim to have based on experience or experiments? Testimonials are only proof in a court of law, not in science.

Let me know if you wish to debate truth or belief. Belief to me, is just another word for convinced and has nothing to do with truth. The saying is “practice what you preach”; stop trying to be clever!

You are introducing science into a theological/intuitive discussion where it is clearly stated that science cannot be trusted to deliver the answer.
I again say that I have not said there is a god, I have said that there is an energy that the people of faith in this world call god and I would think that any normal person would get this and stop getting me to repeat myself.
It's not me who is missing the point here it's you because you are looking at this too literally and scientifically.
If the only way you can make sense of anything is to have hard scientific evidence then fine, that's up to you, but there are others, in fact everyone else involved in this discussion on two sperate networks, who are perfectly willing to accept the intuitive nature of this theory.
I posted in a section that clearly states that any posted theory is a work in progress and I made sure to give it an alternative listing to make sure that people like you didn't get involved in the discussion because of stupid, time wasting debates like this.
Frankly my friend, I have got 40 years of life experience with a very varied list of qualifications from which I pool my knowledge and try to make it sound ok to the layman so the majority of people can understand what I'm talking about. I am a member of many social networks where I have many friends who join me in open discussions and are glad that I get to the heart of a subject by describing the general perspective, the gist, rather than bogging people down in detail. If through further discussion people are genuinely interested in the subject matter I will go into detail and I do have detail and evidence to back up everything I say.
You talk about not taking things seriously, fine, that's up to you also but when I, after only 2 hours on a new site, have to deal with the kind of defensive reflex you have made me feel then I judge that to be a reaction to a conversational bully who ought to take more time to actually understand someone elses feelings rather than just crash in on something they may well be emotionally attatched to such as a personal theory on the origin of their creation.
It is not for you to force me into a defensive position, it is your responsibilty to treat me and anyone else you are in contact with, with respect, at least enough to offer a constructive, objective view.
As far as I am concerned you are not the sort of person I am interested in debating with because you are too much hard work and I do not have time to waste in trying to change the way I write to suit your personal needs. Frankly, you're not that important.
So there you go, you got the attention you were lusting after and I have worded this in such a way that you can still have your feeling of self righteousness gratified by seeing that I am only human and not up to your super human standard.
I don't like being told what to do either, so I suggest you find a new victim to try to manipulate.

I've been behaving like a kid. I've been having a tough time of things lately and I'm afraid I took it out on the first person to cross swords with me.

Hi there Black Crow I just joined too. I am struggling a bit to discover how this site works so I have decided that is part of the fun. Using not knowing to discover more.

May God is just an imaginary name like an imaginary number. I don't know but I am curious.
May be God is the imaginary name for the imaginary force that happens as all variables approach both zero and infinity at once.

Idon't know but I am a little bit curious every now and then.

Oh dear, you've started my brain a-jangling with yer talk of infinite hoojamacallit.
These sites are confusing. I'm finding that it's easier to find my current topics through my normal email site than on site because I can't find them listed anywhere. I've found them on my home page but their just a list, clicking them doesn't do anything so I don't know how to navigate from one topic to the next which is very frustrating.
I'm on a load of different networks and each of them are different from the other. Some are really easy to navigate around and let you blog, discuss, load photos/videos/MP3 all sorts, then there are sites like this one where you've got to find a tiny image from somewhere to use as an avatar and it's near impossible to upload any other content.
However, they do seem to have a good few discussion boards and they're not a bad bunch by the look of them, so here's hoping that we'll enjoy our time here and not get lectured to too often.
Good to meet you, hope to discuss something good with you soon.

Dear Blackcrow,

I'm hoping you don't see the words as lecturing... I felt moved to speak as a dear friend. I like you and I like Dave (instict, as you say) even though I don't know either one of you.

I was having a 'showdown' of sorts the other day when my husband came ridin' through and started shootin' up the place. Saying sorry for that would be like saying sorry he loves me and sorry the sun shines.

Right now I just feel like a toy monkey that when wound up waddles around clapping his cymbals.
