    Yukon Quester

    Greetings from a vast land of relatively few inhabitants, from the small city of Whitehorse, under a night sky that frequently showcases the northern lights. Connected by the infrastructure of transportation, communications and the internet, we are a diverse collection of beings, thoughts and experiences.

    My personal energies resonate with a connectivity to things both seen and unseen, those that science can explain and things as yet not understood. From the incredibly small to the unimaginably large scale of probabilities, each journey both similar and unique, there are infinite possibilities. The path seldom seems to be without purpose, and for the present, it has led me here. I thank you, in advance, for the insights you share....

    Welcome Yukon Quester;

    I hope that you find warmth here at Toequest on those cold Yukon nights. I have driven to Whitehorse once, and found it the loneliest drive I have ever experienced.

    Welcome Labelwench,
    having relatively few inhabitants also means you have relatively many inhabitants. Nothing connects us and nothing separates us. Peace

    Lovely image, Austin, Thank You. I have never seen such lovely colors when I view the lights, pale yellow/green being the norm. The lights are often overhead while I feed my horses at midnight, before following the pulsating arc of light on my 20+ km drive to work.

    Regards,
    Labelwench

    Thank you for the welcome. Michael. Horses are my passion, learning and photography are pursuits and growing food may become a neccesity for health in the immediate future. You've been hanging around this site for a while. What words of wisdom can you offer a neophyte such as myself?

    Hello there. Do you have a handle besides "poppa"? I thank you for the greeting. This is my first foray into these "web things". Tell me about it.

    I thank you in advance for any suggestions.

    Hello Poppaculture. Yes, the population density, or lack thereof, should be the envy of the globe, yet believe it or not, we are overpopulated based on the "carrying capacity of the land." Because of our short growing season, we are almost entirely dependant on imported food. Our economy is predominantly government. If the government money dried up, 95% of the population would be between a rock and a hard place. There aren't enough moose to go around, not that most would know how to go about procurring such a feast, LOL.
