Hello I'm a new member. I am an armature physics person. Never taken a class on the subject but have been reading physics books sense I was around 9.
I first got into air planes as a child and wanted to make my own so I read up on arrow dynamics. I wanted to go higher and faster with my air planes so I read that allot of physics were involved. So I picked up some books involved in vacuums and space to understand the direct nature of what my plains were flying in and that lead me to a book called QED. I fell in love with physics and from there out I've read many books on the subject and found the principles and ideas came easily to me.
Yet as I got older I realized that terminology was a crucial thing to many people. Seeing how I have never taken a class for physics, or spoke allot on the subject to any one else, I figured my days were numbered on the subject and have sense then just pondered about the subject.
So now nearly 20 years latter I've chated in a few physics rooms and read some interesting things about physics from time to time, I've made my way here.
Can I do the math? Well I understand the principles and grab the correct formulas but some times I don't always come up with the correct answers. Part of my problem is I end up complicating the problem as I analyze too far into it. Some one asks me how far a bullet will make it threw a piece of wood and I want to go figure in air friction and the state of the metal on-top of elasticity. That kind of thing..
Any how my main interest at current is theoretical physics and the TOE. I like the idea that time is capable of describing all of our 4 known dimensions and that not only is e=mc2 but also that mass and space is an equivalent of time. I know Eniy said space-time but I really think space is a construct of time.
I have an open mind and yes other then being stubborn about what space-time is, I'm willing to consider every thing. I love to learn and try to understand the world. So here I am in TOE forums looking fro acceptance in an field I really like. Thanks and regards.
