In the begining was Darkness and Nothingness, but these two knew that non-exsisting things such as themselves could not even "non-exist" without the exsistance of their opposites. Welcome to the Toe Quest Forum. I believe duality is one of the fundamental principles of the universe. Action/Reaction; Attraction/Repulsion; Positive/Negative.

I think in the symbol of the Tao all these are represented as well as the wholeness of this dualistic dynamics.

"In the begin(n)ing", what do you mean?
"Darkness and Nothingness...knew"?
"could not even non-exist" is that a double negative?
"Darkness and Nothingness" created "Light and Everything"?
How does that work?

Your opening here is quite a profound thought which somehow resonates with me. I strongly believe there is a Law of Self-Preservation so will be interested in your perspective on this...
