Every few years I would hunt around to try and find it. I even setup a meeting at the University of California at San Luis Obisbo to see their library archive of RP's volumes only to find out a day before my trip to the campus that the library didn't actually have any of the writings. Last month I purchased "The New Gravity Edition 2" and the comic on Amazon.com. Then, just last week I came across this website.

Jeeze, as I write this I am feeling like a groupie. But the truth is that I simply understand and see gravity as RP has described and it is just part of what makes me appreciate this life so much. I work as an engineering director at a software company and I also am seriously into photography as well as writing poetry. I travel a lot with my engineering job - all over the world which feeds my passion for photography. My website is www.arrowphotos.com

Hope to learn a lot more in this forum.

    Dear Charles:
Please allow that the only way I can perceive anyone who appreciates and benefits from my work, is categorizing them as I do myself - being an 'Einstein Groupie'. Have called myself 'the world's #1 Einstein Groupie' for decades. His well known 'biggest blunder' has been retrieved from disposal as you probably know, and has been presented in the updated and fashionable raiments of 'LCDM' (LambdaColdDarkMatter). There's an interesting - somewhat convuluted - skunk fight with a rosey resolution about that and related subjects, at:
    http://www.toequest.com/forum/toe-th...ter-all-4.html .

My work hasn't gone beyond the limitations of multi-edition small press publication, consignment and mail order distribution; consequently it is a relatively obscure work with a comparatively small readership. On the other hand, may I be forgiven for bragging that I cherish over three hundred letters received in response to what amounts to what must be categorized as a modest publication and distribution. Now, thanks to you, I may continue to know with confidence that my adventuresome efforts are not for naught...

    Dear Unify:
In my experience, it's a good idea to post work and not concern yourself with a 'community' of conflicting ideas, thoughts and theories. There's a heap of 'in-fighting' underway 'in-ranks', and 'outsiders' are also a serious threat to established reputations.

Theoretical physics is in a highly confused and utterly contentious transition in this era. You will note that there is a culminating (if coy and camouflaged) return to Einstein's formerly abandoned work. (The 'expanding universe' is Accelerating...)

This trend, i submit, will continue, and, Einstein's formerly abandoned Unified Field (Cosmological Constant) will be reinstated, as I predicted in published, copyrighted and distributed manuscripts (in three languages) more than fifty years ago.

It is communications and correspondence such as the above example: that place and keep me in the habit of qualifying 'in my humble opinion' (imho) a lot. Were it not for the knowledge inherited from all the searchers who preceded me, certainly including people like yourself and theunify, I would not even know how to read or write, let alone reciprocally communicate with others having similar and parallel interests. Thank you also: for gracing this forum with your website and its bountiful scenes of grandeur.

Sincerely and respectfully; with best regards I am gratefully,

    Hello Charles,

I payed on that Kauai course last month. That's a heck of a sand trap right on the edge of a cliff. Makes you ever appreciate sand.

When You and I behind the cloak are past,
But the long while the next golf course shall last,
Which of our approach and lay-up heeds
As might the sea’s self heed a golf ball cast
    .

    Austin,
Kauai Lagoons is a great course and I am going back there next month. But I heard the back nine is closed for renovation. I was playing it with my two sons who both hit the green and I ended up in the sand. Oh well, that's golf. Here is my golf poem.
    Charles

    The Golfer In You

    Nice shot, your partner replies
as the ball rises in a graceful arc
    against the clear blue sky
Bending ever so slightly before it lands
    far away, down the fairway
    Bouncing bouncing, rolling rolling,
    until it comes to rest
    never out of sight
    So effortless, for today
the golfer in you has come to play

    You have worked so hard
    for so many years
    searching for secrets
adjusting your swing, clubs, and mind
    Ever vigilant, always hopeful
    to play this way
    No anxiety, no frustration,
    no what-ifs ahead
    no if-onlys behind
    Just peaceful exhilaration
as you watch the round unfold

When it is over, your smile runs deep
The passion and calm of this day
    is secure in your soul
    to be treasured forever
    You have been blessed
    you have experienced
    the essence of golf
    the enchantment of the game

But the golfer in you is a vagabond
    He was here today
    and will be gone tomorrow
In his absence you will enjoy
an occasional feeling of his touch
But you’ll always be on the watch
    in anticipation of the day
the golfer in you returns to play

Good poem and good to be in the zone.

When out of the zone, one is just a Tiger Woods [+Irons, Putters], as he is lately.

note: He was pain in the neck and now he has one.

I told my son that maybe the secret to world-class golf is having 10 women on the side. He said he would try it out and let me know.

Yes, 10 women might be manageable, but Tiger played 18-72 holes.

Being 'in the moment' of the experiencing of that which one is passionate about, and the recognition that such experiencing is often the sensation that we would somehow contain and retain to re-experience at will, just because it is rare and not always ours to call forth, is an understading unto itself.

    Welcome to this forum, Charles.

    Labelwench,
Thank you for the welcome. I like your signature statement:

So many paths to the same destination,
would, but I could, experience them all...

It reminds me of a George Harrison song in which he said,

If you don't know where you are going,
Any path will take you there.

    That often fits my condition.

    Best Regards,
    Golfnut711

Re: Greetings, I am new to this forum...

And speaking of being in the moment, here is another poem along those lines:

    In This Moment

    I won’t let my dreams
No matter how marvelous they may be
Keep me from the treasures of this moment

And though I already miss the good of yesterday
I will take another step in hope that it will be
    Worthy of remembrance tomorrow

    Regards,
    Golfnut711
