    Question Beware of grandeous claims!

    Despite some claims TOE has not yet been discovered. The development of TOE is most probably going to be the result of the efforts of many individuals. It will probably be similar to the development of quantum mechanics where no one name stands out from a group of great minds. The goal is achievable and those who want to put in the time and effort can participate but it will be the collective scientific community who will eventually identify it. In the meantime have fun researching and sharing ideas!

    Even I am working on a TOE book but I realize the development of the theory is beyond my individual skill sets. It has also been so for all other individuals. Beware of grandeous claims!

    Later,

    Ken Koskinen

    Of great use and necesity is your advice "beware of great claims", many here abuse of great claims.

    And is your TOE mathematico-scientifical or philosophical?

    Ken,

    Read "Simply, Everything" in TOE Articles section.

    The key to this site is to recognize and avoid the nut-cases.

    Math & Reality

    Hi <<<GUILLE>>> & Others

    Since I am a writer and will shortly be searching for a publisher I cannot at this time discuss the details of my TOE. However, I can answer your question: And is your TOE mathematico-scientifical or philosophical? It is verbal scientifical rather than mathematico-scientifical. Since my theory intends to break new ground it must, as any new theory, also contain a philosophical content.

    I have great respect for the language of mathematics but since I do not speak much of it I hope to eventually attract others to add this and of course more. A mistake made by many is to assume if something is expressed mathematically it is of necessity correct. Not so, as I assume you know. Truth is always an agreement between our understanding and reality. This can be made verbally and mathematically.

    True, very very true.

    Mathematics, in fact, is itself a language. So truth is factual use of language n relation to reality, of thoughts in relation to reality.

    Have you patent your theory? If you have, I don't see why there should be any problem in posting it, even before publishing. But anyway, if you still don't want to, please let me know when you arrive to a publisher, and please make a thread about yur theory then.

    Hi Ken;
    Welcome to TOEquest.
    From your post, I assume you feel that the solution to TOE is another mathematical gauge theory. I must disagree with this notion due to the fact that even the top theoretical physicist believe that the TOE will ultimately be simplistic; much like discovering the Sun is in the center of the solar system.

    Unfortunately many tend to translate the science terminology such as dimensions, probability, uncertainty, and many worlds, as meaning something they really do not mean.

    Many science writers presenting non-fiction material border more toward the obscure interpretations of the math without really explaining the true usage of the terminology.

    The TOE will only come about when the true interpretation of the mathematical terms are recognized not only by the casual reader, but by the scientist themselves.

    If you are unwilling to share your ideas, why are you posting on TOEquest?

    Best regards;
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

    TOE if it will mean anything to anyone must have the capability of being expressed at least to some extent both mathemically and verbally. This twin communication capability is common among all great scientific theories such as: Special Relativity, General Relativity, Quantum Mechanics etc. It seems that some people who write in this forum have a very different understanding of what TOE is. It appears that some think it has something to do with mysticism and religion. Here is what I am aiming for: TOE of necessity must supersede all previous efforts in physics since it must have the capability of unifying the physical forces and matter of the universe under one theory. The idea that this "will ultimately be simplistic; much like discovering the Sun is in the center of the solar system" is very difficult to believe. Few of the previous theories in science were that simplistic so how can TOE be so?

    The reason why I post is to simply communicate. It is not that I am not willing to explain my TOE it is more a question of timing. As a writer I understand the importance of being the first to publish one's theory. I do not chose to firstly publish it in this forum. After it is published in book form then you and others can read all about it! It is afterall my theory and my choice.

    Thanks

    Ken Koskinen
