The Loom of Language by Frederick Bodmer

(George Berkeley, 1710) ... lay the beginning in a distinct explication of what is meant by thing, reality, existence: for in vain shall we dispute concerning the real existence of things, or pretend to any knowledge thereof, so long as we have not fixed the meaning of those words.

"All things come out of the one and the one out of all things." - Heraclitus
"Reality is an illusion - albeit a persistent one." - Einstein
"Particles give me a headache." - Ibid

Thanks RP,I have looked up the link you kindly supplied, seems heavy reading for the
    light hearted!

Language evolves over time,I could not understand a fellow Englishman of say 100 years
ago, prehaps a few words, the rest would be much like "Greek" to me.Now with the Text-
speak, the process seems to be quickening,I cannot understand hardly any of the sentences that are now being issued out of the LCD on mobiles, all this has happened in
    the last ten years!!

    regards michael.
    Humilty,coupled with boldness,surprises truth to
    reveal herself?
