    Re: Wandering Dialogue, Non-Sequiturs, Off Topics, Random Associations

    How often do people lie to you in a day? I hate liars, they are so selfish and inconsiderate. They even feel embarrassed when confronted. I was supposed to start babysitting 2 kids because the mom said she was going to start working. Well, her 4 year old told me "mommy on the big boat". She went on a freaking cruise instead of starting work and the grandma was dropping them off and picking them up for a week. When I told the grandma that I found out she isn't working but on a cruise, her face got so red right away. I turned so many people down so I could watch her kids too. I'm glad her husband got sick from drinking bad water on the cruise. I would have watched them for a week only too, but at least I would have known not to turn the other people down. She came back from the cruise last night so I don't even expect to hear from her, wtf is she going to say? More lies? I hate liars, lying is so stupid.

    I tend to agree Sally,however when I cast my mind over my behaviour,I see that I too

    regards michael.
    I think the difference lies between an actual effect on the person being lied to. It's a responsibility thing, I know she isn't responsible for my life or the decision I made to watch her children, but it does effect my financial situation now. Like I said, I would have still watched them if she was honest, but I also would have had other children to babysit full time. Now I have to start over again and try not to make that mistake of letting people lie to me. At least her 4 year old daughter was honest, but how long is that going to last with a liar for a mother? Even the grandma was telling me about how she took the children to church on Sunday and she was in on the lie too. I don't know why she bothers to go to church, she's obviously not learning "thou shalt not bear false witness".

    Hi Sally and Michael;

    Sally you don't want to hate liars, then you would hate me, Michael, probably yourself, your family and everybody else. Diogenes I'm afraid is still loking for that one honest man, and will continue to do so long after I checked out of here.

    I remember when I was married and my wife would ask me: How do I look? Do I look fat to you? Do you like this dress on me? etc. I got so tired of lying I divorced both of them. Living alone gives me the capacity to be very honest. Tough to lie to yourself.

    So take a deep breath, and don't let the S.O.B's and/or B's get you down.

    Michael; where did you come up with the term
    " porky pies ". I never heard that term before but I love it. May I use it?

    Best to both of you,

    Pat

    Can anyone explain this?

    http://www.neatorama.com/2007/11/13/...station-cloud/

    I have seen something similar to it before except the one I saw was green and fluttered and made a propeller noise and I could feel the wind from it. I was taking care of a 2 year old and we were sleeping, he sat up and said, me, that's what he called me and he was giggling. I sat up and watched it float around my bedroom. It was circling our heads and it reminded me of a spinning top. At first it scared me but he wasn't scared so I didn't get scared. It was like his toy. He was watching the same thing because his head and eyes were moving along with the same thing I was seeing. His dad was living in my basement so I called him up to see it but it went away. They ended up moving to Cleveland, Parma is north, not far from Cleveland.

    That was great Sally,

    I would call him Casper, and leave it at that.
