The sun is having a mid-life crisis. So if the skies turn dark
We may live on in
Comets and stars.
An ascetic digital nomadic imminent (and future) reality
The nature and timing of our evolutionary trajectory appears to be tied to the sun.
Makes sense
- as does the sensation that several billion or so years into the future -
we'll be here doing pretty much the same thing again i-here.

A horse is a horse, of course of course,
and no one can talk to a horse of course,
that is of course, unless the horse,
Is the famous Mister Ed!
A horse is like a car, do you need an extra 2,000 # car or horse, to move a 200 # man?
With bikes cities would have grown vertically rather that horizontally. A far more efficient use of scarce land.
Lol, I momentarily forgot that Prof is an accountant, hence the efficiency perspective.
Suggest that there is as much land as there ever was, perhaps too many people occupying some parts of it.
Mankind's history was made from the back of a horse. The horse was the backbone of the agriculture industry until the internal combustion engine was developed. "Horse-power" is a unit of measure of energy. Horses were even used as currency in the past.
One would have needed to bring many horses as a "bride price" for a wife in some cultures not long ago.

What about mules, donkeys and cammels; which of course do not have the majestic elegance and unparallel speed of a horse. Except those mechanical ones you can ride on at Disney Land.Mankind's history was made from the back of a horse. Mary rode a donkey, not a Hack.
Mules be sure-footed on narrow track.
They are worthy beings all, and that's a fact.
Though with war and toil, we have defiled,
the horse, and taken his land from wild,
still he serves us willing, strong yet mild,
therefore, a deserving poster-child.

smart spending........why spend a damn cent on anything that ****************ing resembles mortality...? when it's obvious......at least to the instructed..
obviousness, that we don' need to spend our money on anything that is known......that which is unwholesome...why why why...?
don' people know such a things?

Hello eriqinmos,
You make an excellent point regarding the choices people make in spending their money.
Many have been conditioned in North America to define self worth by their possessions, their educational credentials and the type of vacations they can afford.
One soon becomes a slave to their chattel as it all requires some form of maintenance, care, storage and insurance. Gaining knowledge and skills is of value and importance to one's life path, yet high tuition does not guarantee superior skills. Travel and accommodation is beyond the budget of many.
Yet one can live well on very little if one chooses wisely.![]()
Wholesome food prepared and shared with friends; access to information has taken a huge step forward with electronic media, learning and communication now easier than ever. There are many means to travel, the inner journey and the external, whereby one may be of service on the way.
Some answers seem so very obvious, yet people continue to make decisions that accrue no benefit, and often do great harm, to themselves and others.smart spending........why spend a damn cent on anything that ****************ing resembles mortality...? when it's obvious......at least to the instructed..

How do we promote good choices without infringing on the individual freedoms that we value? Education and example often take time to filter through, yet I am hopeful...
Thank you for your posting.
What single choice do you think would have the most effect on the current situation?

To kill (as opposed to not to kill) money (as we know it)
Interim measure
one person one number
one number one account
one transaction two accounts
one fully open one~world e-banking system (so that each and every single financial transaction which takes place in a one~world currency is open)

Twitzerland !
I'd be ashamed to be $wi$$; hopefully they will be
soon.
Dollar to substance ratio unquestionably apparent.
