    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noam_Chomsky
Since the 1960s, he has become known more widely as a political dissident, an anarchist, and a libertarian socialist intellectual.
... ... without having read any of his stuff ... ...

pretty sure he's right.; he ticks all of the boxes after all.

political dissident -> one World fully distributed government by people
    anarchist -> 'property is theft'
libertarian -> the human spirit may be proven (by ToE) to aspire to freedom
socialist -> the whole community first
intellectual -> proper education (not for money) is the only route to morality

    ~*~

The pattern of human evolution is as follows

physical -> mental -> spiritual (what we call freedom)

Spiritual enlightenment may be proven to occur after normalization on the physical and mental levels.

Physical level normalization requires that wages are normalized.
Mental level normalization comes from 'cranking' ToE -
our entire reality scales from the application of one geometric process.

Mental level normalization will permit you to be able to program -

'hippy hoppy delusionally happy' are they
    - the closer one becomes to attaining freedom -
the closer one comes to makin' out exactly what is preventing their own liberty -
    - from which they cannot shake free
    - of course is money.

Re: It's All About The Money

    How about?

Write a list of all of the problems you can think of and then put them into order.

You'll record loads of problems (first three to come to mind) (flu virus, an absence of potable water, an asteroid hitting) which we're using to justify our own failure to solve the real problem.

    ------------------------------
    The real problem is money.
    ------------------------------

    Using the 3 examples above:
    Flu and Swine virus
are artefacts of farming practices which're used to produce ever larger amounts of the wrong foods for man
    - all of this for money and greed (close bedfellows).

The root of the drive to over consume food is shared with the root of the drive to consumerism.

The animal aspect of man (to consume as much as possible) is enshrined in human society (consumerism).

As we strive to consume less -
    - we find that we're trapped in a society which only works when we consume more.

A now classical example (from politicians the world over) over the last few years is the phrase 'to spend ourselves out of a recession'.

Why doesn't somebody influential (who politicians will listen to)
    - explain why this can't work?

If we consume more of a finite resource -
    - then we use it up faster.

Real life isn't an economic model.
We have life critical parameters which're being exhausted with each and every day which this planet sees of only corporate concerns.

I've checked and my 5 year old kid understands this idea.
Consume more of a finite resource and we run out of that resource faster.

Potable water isn't a problem (as yet) -
    - and as long as we have the technology for desalination -
it won't be a problem in the future either -
    - unless we're expected to throw in the prospect of the seas running dry also.

    An asteroid hitting -
do we really need to put in place some mechanism for blowing asteroids out of space before making the world a better place by dealing with the inequality which money mandates.

    ~*~

Fear of {death, destruction} are a consequence of financial systems.
    We fear when we're bored.
    Only fun trumps fear.
    Money prevents fun drives fear.

We have nothing to fear but fear itself -
    - any (the few) real fears that people have
    are related to money
    - and all of the artificial fears which people invent
    too
(flu virus, an absence of potable water, an asteroid hitting)
    - all (also) similarly due to money
    In more detail :
    - a particularly distressing cure for boredom
    - though a cure for boredom is all that the artificial set of fears represent.

Healthy minds with nothing to do courtesy of money; always money
'- the devil will find work for idle hands to do'

Money ensures that people need to pay to have something fun to do.

Visiting the supermarket has become our day out; at least they don't charge 'entry' and other than the disapproving look from a security guard -
cannot force you to buy something.

    We're evolved neurones
    - as our minds grow we require more neural stimulation

    - money witholds neural stimulation -
failure to afford access to positive stimulation and a failure to develop mind will lead to a people who're so starved of positive stimulation that the usual negative stimulants rise to the fore.

The lawyer and banker who thrive on money -
cause the crime which criminals are imprisoned for.

A chain of events is all -
the ultimate cause of crime is money -
    - those who enforce inequality are therefore the principle cause of the motivation which drives criminals to commit crime.

    Question?
How does the ordinary citizen take the entire legal community to court?

    Answer:
    We can't

... ... ... which is why we're (perhaps) going to need to collapse financial systems in order to eradicate the law and money -

    from TP's video -
normal people can collapse the entire world economy by a significant proportion simply withdrawing their money -

A run on the bank (on all banks) will ensue -
    - a complete collapse in the World's economic systems will follow

    - nobody (then) 'll be able to afford anything -

    freedom at last.

I think it's called 'voting with one's feet'.

    ~*~

A run on the bank leading to immediate financial collapse
    - or the pre-emptive introduction of one wage to all in a one~world currency.

The current system is about to fail; all that's needed is a little knowledge of Western world demographics and of the mechanism which money uses to make the world go down.

The current system is fixed on stock market increases -
stock market increases which have tracked growth in World population (increases in demand) numbers -
    - imminent rate of population growth decreases (mirrored a little later by actual decreases in human numbers) cannot be accommodated by a system which succeeds only when supporting exponential increases in growth in demand.

    ~*~

Plumbing and Potable water concerns are trivial compared to what lies in store.

It's about time that at least two people with some influence and no vested interest discuss the problems we have with money.

    ~*~

    Explicitly once again -
there really is no need for anybody particularly to be doing the work which they are
    currently

The first ten to come to mind

    -1-
No need for an army, navy, airforce - because all war is wrong.

    -2-

No need for a police force - because the police are only of use in keeping the people of that country under control (either that or in the minority of cases - combating crime (which the politicians, bankers and lawyers cause (from a previous post)).

    -3-

No need for a dentist - a change in diet is all we need (eliminate sugar).

    -4-

    No need for doctors -
the World population growth figures show that we're (our population is) working to a fixed trajectory.

    -5-

    No need for teachers -
    - kids need each other, their parents and some place to play outside
    - parents need access to electronic teaching materials -
one set of material for all parents will work.
My experience of school is that teachers attempt to package off their pupils to medicine, accounting or law -
none of which are required disciplines

    -6-

    No need for accountants -
    - if all financial transactions are open and recorded -
the tech guys can deliver an automated solution to eliminate the need for accountancy.

    -7-

No need for builders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters -
    - if we introduce a little new technology and permit people access to this technology for themselves.

    -8-

    No need for librarians
    - as google is teaching us with Wikipedia, google books and the many sites which permit free download of reading material.

    -9-

No need for anything paid to do with computers
Linux, Firefox and Sun appear to be leading the way
    - open source builds communities -
people build IT innovation for fun -
(making things easier to help people help would be welcome though)
    - it's just a shame that so much effort needs to be put in to overcome the proprietary concerns which companies like Windows drive into the heart of this one necessary component for our continued evolution -
    - access to ever increasing volumes of information via wireless connection.

    -10-

No need for anything to do with food
    Make our own
    - access to fresh food is just that important

    -11-

No need for anything to do with clothes
    - We can make our own -
an exercise in creativity.Cotton clothes + leather shoes are all we need.

    ~*~

Nothing that we're currently doing is right -
and money is the reason why it's all wrong.

Problems of access to potable water and plumbers at -40oC will cease to be issues if we locate the source of our problems -> (money) <- and then set in place a correction.

Re: It's All About The Money

I'd be interested to know how many people it'd take to start a run on the banks -
    - pretty sure (after witnessing the sub-prime fiasco reverberate world wide) -
    - that the answer'll be 'not many'.

From TP's video again ('Money is debt')
    - it appears as though each passing day
    (through literally compounding the problem)
brings collapse (of the global economic system) yet closer.

    ~*~

Pretty sure that the guys who unpegged money from real concerns in the early 70's knew what they were doing.
Unleashing human greed to burn itself out
    is my point here.

The David Rockefeller quote at the end of 'Money is debt' is telling.

A global conspiracy for the benefit of the rich it has been made to appear -
    - the Hilfiger (or whatever they're called) Foundation which Rockefeller heads
despite the supposed secrecy which they've attempted to hype -
    - through knowledge of the attendees alone -
    dispels any notion of 'conspiracy'.
The people who attended the Bilderberg meetings (elected officials)
    came and went -
    - they weren't permanent unelected multi-billionaires.

A global conspiracy for the benefit of the rich it has been made to appear -
    - cannot actually be -
since even the rich are only people -
    - and all people (even the rich) are ruled by the laws of nature.

This guy sounds like he really knows the score:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noam_Chomsky

    • According to Chomsky: "I'm a boring speaker and I like it that way…. I doubt that people are attracted to whatever the persona is…. People are interested in the issues, and they're interested in the issues because they are important.""We don't want to be swayed by superficial eloquence, by emotion and so on."
    • He holds views that can be summarized as anti-war but not strictly pacifist. He prominently opposed the Vietnam War and most other wars in his lifetime. He expressed these views through a variety of protest methods, such as withholding taxes and peace walks. He published a number of articles about the war in Vietnam, including "The Responsibility of Intellectuals". However, he maintains that U.S. involvement in World War II was probably justified, with the caveat that a preferable outcome would have been to end or prevent the war through earlier diplomacy. In particular, he believes that the dropping of nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were "among the most unspeakable crimes in history".
    • He has a broad view of free-speech rights, especially in the mass media; he opposes censorship and refuses to take legal action against those who may have libeled him.
    • He has made major criticisms of Israel and supporters of Israel, arguing that "supporters of Israel are in reality supporters of its moral degeneration and probable ultimate destruction", and that "Israel's very clear choice of expansion over security may well lead to that consequence"
Can't disagree with any of the little I've just read about him.

    Problem -
    money

    Solution -
    one wage to all

    - help people to set up systems which people can then (immediately) benefit from.

No more minutes of meetings -
    just action.

    As is necessary
    - and as all parents will realise is necessary -
    - because kids (quite rightly) just cannot bear waiting.

Re: It's All About The Money

Well, SB__UK, I am delighted to hear that there is no shortage of potable water where you live.

A quick on-line search reveals that about 1 in 6 of the world's population is not so fortunate. Even in water wealthy Canada, there are many small communities without amenities.

I have lived much of my life on the land, once 90 miles by air from the nearest town, and I am quite familiar with fetching water, where it is available.

One resourceful fellow in Whitehorse got into bottling water 30 years ago, and many laughed at him. Who would buy water up here, where you could drink out of any stream for free?

They aren't laughing now. Yukon Spring does not have the infrastructure to supply a fraction of the bottled water that is used in this territory.

Our city water is treated and chlorinated, which makes some people ill, my Mother being one, and she uses both bottled water for drinking, and a filter on the tap for washing her produce and dishes. Her skin reacts to the chlorine when bathing.

Waste water treatment in the Yukon is very rudimentary, especially in the communities. Settling lagoons, strain out the lumps and then dilution being the solution to pollution.

Our pristine lakes are home to fish that have high levels of mercury in their systems and people are advised not to eat any of the entrails and traditional bits. These are not fish that go to the ocean, so where are all the contaminents coming from?

Sorry, my friend, but I see these little things as being a more immediate concern than the financial system, which has ever been skewed, and shall evolve or collapse, or collapse and start over. Human nature being what it is, there will always be those who do not contribute as much as they would take, by craft or by force, no matter what system one envisions.

The global resources are finite. We can certainly do much better than we are presently in using them more wisely.

Will it ever be fair for all? History does not give me cause to be optimistic, but I try to do what good I can, where I can.

Reduce, reuse, recycle. Learn to do more with less.

    Money is a problem.

Human nature is a larger problem.

    Regards,

    Labelwench

If you were from Israel or the Lebanon -
most likely you'd report that the Lebanon and Israel (respectively) were your key concerns.

We need to find the fundamental problem which solves all others
    - not just collect a long list of problems and bemoan our collective fate.

Life'd be better if we actually made some efforts to eradicate the problems which we face -
    - unless of course life has become little more than fire fighting (moving from one problem to the next as our raison d'e^tre).

My wife's brother (this week) lost his entire family and wealth to divorce; his pressing concern isn't the financial system either -
    - however money is responsible for his marriage break up; a wife with too much money (works for a toy company - euro100k per annum with a company car, phone and laptop
    - and a liking for men.
Her days spent arranging encounters, financed by the toy company.

My wife's father is in hospital currently (age 80 yrs) from falling off a ladder harvesting cherries -
    - his children were too far away to help because of money
    - the search for employment.
If the kids were around -
of course they'd have stepped in to help.

My pressing problem is arthritis; although superficially unrelated to money -
I 'm pretty sure that the problem is caused because of the foods which are currently available (and affordable to buy).
The supermarket pushes 'pre-prepared' foodstuffs -
which (from MJA's veggie thread - I'm almost positive are the cause of the majority of Western Society disorders).
The spectrum of food they sell is shaped by the markup which they can make on these foods -
    - on how much money they can make
where we're restricted in that we can only buy what is sold

    - organic produce has long since become the domain of the rich -
    - standard GM, pesticide-ridden vegetables (even) have become unaffordable -
£6 ($10) for a couple of packs of potatoes from a supposedly cheap supermarket today -
    - where potatoes are about as cheap as 'it gets'.

    ~*~

Access to water may be a problem -
    - but how're you ever going to justify solving your problem - if other people don't experience any benefit.

Money sent to the Yukon to help its people might be refuted by people from Gambia -
    without sufficient food to eat.

No one person or people can claim to be a priority.

By reforming the global financial system -
    - by ensuring that all people make the same wage -
    - you'll find that people shift from a culture of competition into collaborative practices.

Maybe your community could buy a tanker and a water reservoir -
    - and each of you take it in turns to fill the reservoir -
from a water source (maybe) some distance away.

The point that I'm striving towards here is that problems can be solved if people are helped to work together.
There's nothing like adversity to force the collective together -

    - however there can't be a boss -
people need to work together as equals towards a common cause

    - money prevents co-operative behaviour -
because money has a habit of becoming unequally distributed amongst people working on some 'absolutely yes for profit' joint venture.

    Your problems solve -
    my problems solve
    - my wife's father's problems can be prevented from recurrence -
    - marriages can be saved

    - and it'd all be down to a new global financial system.

The Lebanese and Israeli problems 'd naturally solve -
    will solve
    also

    - when they run out of money.

When the entire population of Israel spends all of their money on 3 or 4 large rockets -
they'll be all out of cash -

    - won't have money for anything else -

and it will be interesting (whilst it's happening)
to watch them kill for hunger
    - to kill for their own (imminent) hunger.

    Poetic justice.

    - not a system which panders to the animal within
    away from which
    we're seekin' escape.
[ nothing other than killing money the law the savage within (original sin) matters ]
