    Re: East Meets West Logic...

In the following terms most general sense then

    every body needs a mind
(each physical structure needs a model above it to allow it to exist in place)

parent -> child as a fundamental pattern in reality

    where

    mother + father -> child
    real + imaginary -> complex

Switch from the anthropomorphic model for God as noun into God as verb and

    mother + father -> child
mother process + father process -> child process

real dynamic geometry + imaginary dynamic geometry -> complex dynamic geometry

where real represents quantum waveform collapse in the so called 'outside' world
and imaginary represents quantum waveform collapse in the classical 'internal' world of Alice in Wonderland.

Although it's tempting to believe that one is above the other -

    level [real] + metalevel [imaginary]

    - the nature of duality entails that neither one can exist without the other.

    Interpretation.

The mind turning words into Existential Graphs.

(Yes. I am reading on Pierce's Magic Lantern Of Logic)

    Dawg ran quickly.

    Three words.

Capitalized proper noun, Dawg, used as a name. However, what manner (and gender) of being is this 'Dawg'? WHO

ran- is a verb, which indicates movement, yet does this entity move on two legs, or four, or perhaps even more? (Now the mind may add a question regarding what has put this entity in motion.) WHAT

quickly - an adverb, describing that the motion is swift, relative to some other frames of reference for movement. (Is Dawg running toward, away from or alongside an objective?) HOW and WHERE

And from here the mind might speculate as to a time frame and purpose, WHEN and WHY.

Amazing how quickly three little words got splattered all over the page, and that is just one interpretation of three little words. Three words became six speculations. This will never do....

Think I'll go back to reading Pierce and see if he leads me out of this morass......
So many paths to the same destination,
would, but I could, experience them all...

    Re: East Meets West Logic...

Nothing can enter human consciousness until it's gotten itself a shape which can be recognized (a ligand needs a receptor).

Nothing can enter human consciousness until there's a shape which can be recognized alongside a shape which can recognize it (a ligand with its specific receptor).

So - consciousness represents the point we reach when we have the duality of ligand and receptor.

Only then can some something enter human consciousness.

We might then consider consciousness to represent the outcome of duality or self-contradiction
    - to represent the equator of self-contradiction
    (from previously).

However - the consciousness referred to above as a geometric 'reprise' to a more fundamental consciousness.

This idea sounds a lot like it's heading towards brahman over atman as two similar geometric flows -
one more fundamental than the other.

    Re: East Meets West Logic...

I'll have to get back later with a full post, as our WiFi got partially knocked out by lightning. For now I'll just post the central tenet of my next post...

I've just recently discovered a major hole in logic that's not been addressed by anyone, which also relates to many of your recent ideas in these last posts. For now I'll just state that the mind is stereoscopic, in that the two hemispheres always produce two images of all representations of ideas, and that's the two selfs talking to each other as two individual concepts, but the mind only recognizes one at a time, yet when the two concepts are fully brought to bear in aware consciousness, it is like the wave collapse of these two concepts into one clear vision, according to which side of the stereoscopic brain takes control/precedence over the initial concepts. This is exactly what Peirce was working on when he died, as stereoscopic movies had recently become the rage of the world...

Here's a central universal algorithm I'm working on fully interpreting:

The universal algorithm of isomorphic logic of the possibilia__Uncertainty is the exactness of the complexity of exact logic...

The above allows an entirely new interpretation of exact and necessary logic to: A new open values' inductive logic__which includes the full processing of right brained reason into left brained logic, thus uniting the two hemishperes, into an entirely new triadic interpretation of evolutionary logic and reasons of...

It amounts to 'the necessity of the uncertainty of logic', in the fact that the possibilia of rational evolution and 'Habitus' can now be included as a future path of total understanding between the two hemispheres of psychology and logic, by 'goal' orientations.

This is so far very preliminary and crude, but I'm working all of the newest Peirce re-interpretations, with all the modern investigators together...

    Much more later...rrr

    P.s.
The triadic exists as a necessity, because a final interpreter is required to settle the differences of the two hemispheres, which lies in the uncertainty principle's mechanics of initial complexity, into sound reasoning and logic. Any machine is always governed by its initial uncertainties of actions and reactions__the initial stage of its evolution, just as is the mind, yet we still have free choice within certain constraints...

    Hi, Lloyd.

I'm off-line again for a few days...so I hope I don't miss too much. It'll be interesting to see if logic hears reason. IMO, reason actually listens to logic but often finds its dialogue at odds with the rigours of reality.

    So, to paraphrase:
    • logical mind processes from present to past, ie it's substantiative/evidentiary, and
    • reasoning mind processes present to future, ie it's imaginative/creationist
    • neither of these two states exist
Simply put, drawing on the past is definitely necessary for creating the future...the two meet at the fulcrum/pivot point that is the present/now. So, what are we waiting for - lol!
We are all waiting for the unification to be thoroughly explained__in a state compatible to both hemispheres of the triadic stereoscopic mind__Iff two exist, an ultimate 'Triadic One' must exist, to unite the two__the true and pure 'Triadic Self/I'...rrr

    Re: East Meets West Logic...

I'm pretty sure that we're approaching a time when there'll be nothing left to be said -
    - at least in the sense that people will be able to understand another when they communicate (meaning that mis-communications no longer occur)

    - that this'll in turn feed back to lead to people being fair with one another (the ability to fully empathise having just this effect)

    - to be able to veto one's own actions if one would that another should not behave similarly unto you ... ...

Left with the question of whether since duality results in a form of neutrality
    - whether the underlying motivation or 'greed' to reach duality would result in a child product of apathy.

Apathy as an end to desire
    - perhaps better to describe it as apathy towards pre-duality behaviours.

It's striking that Generation X appears to have such problems fitting into the mould of previous generations.

Getting rich, buying a large house and joining a golf club after a life of abuse of poorer people in one's own and foreign countries

... ... apparently today we're precisely 25 years on from the Bhopal disaster; according to the news - the toxic waste was not properly cleaned up and continues to be a problem to this day.

Other than the (admittedly) sizeable task of cleaning up after 50 years of excess -
which isn't a task to be relished

    - I really can't find anything (as in currently) positive to inspire either my generation or those which follow.

My first personal computer gave me a sense of hope for the future -
    - though technology appears to have pushed on to such an extent that I have the suspicion that the kiddies of today won't feel the same way -
    - no more typing in computer code onto a machine without an operating system and enjoying the game which you'd just taken a considerable amount of time to type in, code, debug.

There was a sense of having something sustainable, scalable and fun there - that any time spent learning that 'game' (because coding is a game) would scale
    - would reward the individual with ever more 'entertainment'
    - 'entertainment' as in personal empowerment (to (at the very least) entertain oneself).

The computer games of today are very expensive and don't give the individual that same sense of achievment when played -
    because they don't lead anywhere
    - end when they're over without the individual being any better off
    - considerably worse off (in fact) as the individual is expected to stump up yet more money for the sequel.

It's just a variation on a theme of addiction; a world of money's calling card.

    ~*~

Read through 10 or so magazines today (in a store) -
    - I can't find anything even remotely interesting to do -
with the only incentive (that I can find) 'to do' anything being to evade the stick wielded by lawyer, banker and politician -

    - to maintain them in luxury.

Checked multiple comments on ordinarily neutral websites yesterday - and was overwhelmed by the similar sentiments (to the anti-establishment message which I'm describing here) which just normal people expressed.

Only a few people went against the flow -
    law students them all.

    ~*~

Serious problem we have here when the only motivation which can be found to keep people in the workplace is fear
    - and where the fear prevents us from attempting the only worthwhile (though dreary) task of cleaning up the mess which is all around us.

All of which begs the question though of what next? when we've somehow managed to clean up the mess left by our polluting (on every possible level) oil economy.

Have the kiddy channel on for most of the day -
    - all of the programs are about recycling, nature, imagination, art

    - are we really sure that the next generation should be so mislead into the nature of the reality which their parents are leading them into?

Policemen dance, Doctors cure and Dentists smile on the baby channel

    - not kill nor work to abuse as they do in our current reality.

As labelwench states 'It's all about the money'
    - the message from the older generations

'Cept it's nothing about the money
    - the message which is coming through loud and clear from Generation X and beyond.

Motivation has a way of shining through -

Private corporations, religious Institutions, all Institutions have been tainted by -
    ... ... always greed.

Motivation has a way of shining through -
    - as we acquire greater understanding as a collective on the extent of child labour, environmental damage, third World effectively slave labour (to name but a few) of the problems with the global stage -
    - we'll find that younger generations just won't be able to (and rightfully won't be able to)
    comply.

Because it's just not right, is it?

It's important that political, economic and legal reform is not conducted by politician, banker and lawyer -

they'll simply pay themselves great riches for setting an agenda for the follow-up meeting on the next week ... and the next week ... and then the next week ... and the week after that ... ...
... ... each meeting on a different continent

Why do the ridiculous politician people arrange meetings in foreign countries?

Why not start up their laptop computer and hop onto a web forum and thereby be forced to learn to organize their thoughts into easily digestible form?

No running from ambiguity if the words are right there for all to see.

We'd soon then discover that there will never be any significant agreement between National politicians ever, because each of the parties at these meetings pull only for themselves
    - to try and secure as beneficial a deal for only themselves at the cost to whoever
(it doesn't particularly matter to them) -

... ... all that matters being 'me me me'.

Global political, economic and legal reform such that limiting raw material usage may be handled by a global authority.

Holistic global environmental sustainability is a far greater need than maintaining the egos of National boundaries.

We are, after all - stuck on this planet together

    cf. local selfish greed
... younger generations with increasing awareness just won't be able to (and rightfully won't be able to)

We will not be kind to the savage politician of today when we come to write the history books of tomorrow.
Will make sure that their anti-social counter-species greed is brought out in all of its shocking detail for all of future generations to see.

The politician should not believe that they'll gain immortality within history text book - they'll (instead) become the bogeyman which future generations 'll use to scare their children away from greed.

    they were so bad.'
