There is an equality to everything and it's just an equal respect for diversity and freedom - nature is finite and constraining, people can't find that pathway to fit in without bumping into others and there's typically not enough intelligence in a democracy to understand that if people just took a single step to the side on occasion, we could all get past fine - everyone has a pathway they want to take and it just takes greater social fluidity to construct the diverse eddies that accomodate everyone in a pathway. People can learn it over time, but the forcing everyone into a melting pot isn't going to work - not everyone wants to eat soup (Basically it requires a lot more intelligence - on the order of billions of individuals to "run" humanity. There's no leader nro elite committee that's ever going be able to do more than offer suggestions and the continued trust that someone else is going to save people from themselves is just wishful thinking. The changes begin when someone bumps into themself and then realizes they have noone else to blame (and of course that's individual responsibility ... tough but ultimately well worth the investment, we just need a good example of what the results are - set that example).

All that I'd add is that it's important that people realise the one problem which has plagued mankind over our entire history -
- how selfish behaviour is hardwired in and how only through opening one's mind to reality is the knowledge to inform one's own behaviour away from inadvertent abuse of one's equally worthy neighbour attained.

The only form of abuse which worries me (since the others will fall away) - is the abuse which occurs inadvertently -
- through people not particularly knowing

- not knowing the consequences of their actions.

Difficult to imagine a world in which we can all know all of every aspect of the things people do.

The nifty workaround to this problem would be to offer all people the same wage in a global currency -
and then to know that the choice which remains
(after the dust has settled)
reflects
the labours of willing participants -
- no more people charging far too much for far too little (politicians, lawyers, bankers and their corporate robomannequin buds)
- no more people being forced to pull 24/7s just to make ends meet.

That's just not fair.
