    Re: East Meets West Logic...

I accidently lost a larger post, but basically my comment was that the real truth is singular, unchanging and isn't subject to experimental result. It allows for everything to fit compatibly together and for diverse opinions, scientists and experimental evidence to share a common units of space and time.

It might look like it changes and gets dusty, but that's how it appears when it's not seen directly and is observed empirically

In reality, it never picked up a single flake of dust and the continued capability of science to perform experiments regarding that is the evidence - it's not statistical.

Go past statistics to the foundation that allows the rest to be possible. It's united, singular, unchanging, all inclusive, diverse in specifics, unbounded in capability.

That's the truth. The truth ain't everything

Because of emotions. You asked the perfect question. Congrats!

Yes, we agree it's preferences and it's also perfectly scientific with supporting evidence and logical etc.

No, I don't expect that you should be able to follow all my comments and that's perfectly fine as well. We shouldn't have identical views, but as long as I enjoy that you guys are having fun (which is obvious from your posts), then all is well and good.

    How else should it be?

Lloyd enjoys being able to pride himself on being scientific. Austin enjoys having a target to tease. You enjoy being in the middle and having some social encouragement and I enjoy getting to find a unique perspective in the mix etc.

Everyone has their niche and it goes together like a little ecosystem.

Emotions are the molecular events of the traffic control system of the neurotransmitters; can't rely on them too heavily. They color the brain.

You need a stable reference for any scientific pursuit though. What's the common motive behind science?

If you were to change the ruler, the results would be different. Gotta keep measurements in terms of common units.

Apparently NASA made that mistake with some of the "global warming" evidence and was averaging temperatures from databases that were not in common units.

As they say, "Garbage In - Garbage Out". What determines what is garbage or not? (That's a rhetorical question)
