The absence of sound, when you experience it, is totally unnerving. We use sound as a reference and orient our thoughts and actions to it, because we have been conditioned to from birth. Even in the womb, we are exposed to the beating of our mother's heart and all the attendant and ambient sounds of life's flow through her/our body. Originally Posted by melanie
