The absence of sound, when you experience it, is totally unnerving. We use sound as a reference and orient our thoughts and actions to it, because we have been conditioned to from birth. Even in the womb, we are exposed to the beating of our mother's heart and all the attendant and ambient sounds of life's flow through her/our body.
No sound?
Very scary.......

The Science of Science would be the finding of answers that open the door to ever more questions, while yielding some useful (and harmful) applications along the way.
The short answer might be Pandora's Box.........
We can never put the lid back on, nor could we ever have NOT opened it, IMO.....
