Cool MONITORING THE OMINOUSLY CULMINATING AFTERMATH of the 8.9 JAPANESE QUAKE of 3/11/2011

    FLASH:

Geiger Counter Gagging Radiation Strengthens Human Immune System!

In a world fulla Geiger counters, the 'mass media' is unable to credibly deny the ascending radiation from the nuclear power plant casualties in Japan (the unprecedented, uncontained emissions are still underway to the hour of this writing - the emissions from 3 Mile Island and Chernobyl were comparatively short bursts), so the EPA has just intervened in the nick of time to declare human tolerance thresholds to be much higher than they were before 11 March, 2011 (Thats when the 8.9 quake struck off the coast of Japan) about 20 months before the popular prediction of the end of civilization, marked at 21 December 2012.

Just say 'No', to forthcoming lethal doses of radiation.

KoolAid rations will be distributed (ON THE BEACH?) accordingly, after the fall-out of denial & Orwellian double-talk & NewSpeak has tediously exhausted itself and - Homer Simpson jokes - have reluctantly abated.

    PostScript:
No nuclear power plant facility anywhere in the United States (for example) has been installed with the (Democratically balloted) consent of 'We the people'. Each (HelterSkelter) installation nets a Billion $ profit per installation, not counting ensuing electric bill payments, thereafter.

    P.P.S.
The Navy-Marine Corps Survival Manual (literally) includes the high-lighted advisory:
'Never: lose your sense of humor'.

This week's recommended recreational reading material is the documentary:
'We Almost Lost Detroit', Copyright 1975, by John Fuller.

    FLASH:

America must take over Japan, to cover Fukushima__We haven't got Japanese years__We've only got American months, and few at that...!!!

Did you see where Russia landed its largest transport plane_bigger than our C-5_in South Carolina and picked up one of our huge specialty pumper trucks to transport to Japan...? You know something really big and serious is up, when Russia's AN-225 is landing in America...!!!

    An-225 landing gear...

On 31 March 2011, it was announced that the An-225 will be used to transport the worlds largest concrete pump made by Putzmeister from South Carolina, USA to Japan to help stabilize the Fukushima nuclear power reactors.[27][28] The pump weighs 86.18 tonnes (190,000 lb) and has a 70-meter boom.

The incumbent spin-doctors have prudently chosen not to challenge the global Geiger counter readings, instead, the EPA (Ministry of Truth) has dramatically raised the 'safe tolerance levels' of human radiation exposure and dosage. Maneuvers like this are sometimes called 'cooking the books'. All readings are 'fixed' and now within 'normal' parameters. Yah. : )

Considering that all of us have likely been exposed to far more radiation than we may be aware of, simply because most don't own a geiger-counter and it's not like governments and industry want to create an informed public opinion on ANYTHING, (I appear to have become a cynical jade, lol), it might be possible that our bodies are indeed evolving to become somewhat more tolerant of an increase in radiation, so long as it is very gradual.

The numbers pundits also like to debate that numbers are historically set to ridiculously low numbers to place the burden of proof on those who are producing any product that may pose harmful effect for humans or the environment.

Though I am playing the devil's advocate in this post, I would suggest that any who still have faith in the numbers as advocated by most authorities are those I would be most concerned about, as they will be voting in the next government, under which we shall all continue to either avoid accountability or suffer the consequences.

    Say what?

That the world is divided into 'fiefdoms' even though all effects are eventually integrated, is the failing of our species.

We have evolved into a global species with tribal governance and from there arises many of the challenges we bring upon ourselves.

Somehow, in this technological era, I had mistakenly assumed we would have somewhat more technical provision in our counter-measures. I must have watched too many episodes of The Lone Ranger as a child, which left me conditioned to the expectation that help was ever forthcoming when needed. Who ARE we going to call? LW

    BATH SALTS, SEA CURTAIN

In their desperation to stop radioactive leaks, TEPCO engineers have used anything at hand. They have mixed sawdust and newspapers with polymers and cement in an unsuccessful attempt to seal a crack in a concrete pit at reactor No.2.

On Monday, they resorted to powdered bath salts to produce a milky colour in water to help trace the source of the leak.

TEPCO said it was also planning to drape a curtain into the sea off the nuclear plant to try to prevent radioactive silt drifting out into the ocean.

The silt-blocking fence will take several days to prepare, said Hidehiko Nishiyama, deputy director-general of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA).

The exact source of the radiation leaks remains unknown. NISA is investigating a damaged embankment near a sluice gate at the No.2 reactor and the possibility it may be seeping through a layer of small stones below a concrete pipe.

TEPCO said it would build tanks to hold contaminated seawater, was towing a floating tank which will arrive next week, and was negotiating the purchase of three more.

How short-sighted are any that think the ill effects of the Gulf of Mexico are behind us........

Decommissioning the reactors in Japan will take years, possibly decades and that is the best guess of the company that builds and runs the things.

I hope you begat some brilliant grandchildren to deal with the legacy that the present generation is leaving them.

Far from despairing, I am quite intrigued by the strategies of the forces that shape evolution, presently mankind taking charge of it's destiny, since we have effectively evolved into a force of nature, to paraphrase David Suzuki.

    hmmmmmmmmmm ........ No offence.

The legacy we leave will be more beneficial than what we inherited, it has always been so. We are blind apes stumbling in the dark .... We are ascending, not descending. We have always faced insurmountable challenges, and always survived. This is not to say we are always right ....

Rather than look down towards whomsoever you hold responsible, spare a thought for how far, so phuc**** far, we have come. We have done it all on our own and if we fail, so what ... we did what we did because we tried which is all we could have ever done. We will still leave an enviable legacy !!

"We were born of risen apes, not fallen angels, and the apes were armed killers besides. And so what shall we wonder at? Our murders and massacres and missiles, and our irreconcilable regiments? Or our treaties whatever they may be worth; our sympathies however seldom they may be played; our peaceful acres, however frequently they may be converted to battlefields; our dreams however rarely they may be accomplished.

The miracle of man is not how far he has sunk but how magnificently he has risen. We are known among the stars by our poems, not our corpses."

We can act in no other manner than is our nature. LW

"The hunter died when he achieved supremacy. Perhaps the death of the hunter will be the long monument to interglacial man. We denied a future to our successor beings."
    — Robert Ardrey (The Hunting Hypothesis: A Personal Conclusion Concerning the Evolutionary Nature of Man)

Interesting that you chose a different quote by the same author, yet he is correct in both regards. We have come a long ways. Perhaps there is little else to prove and nature's little experiment is nearing it's conclusion?
