Let's start with the first observation you pointed out: "... if the elementary particles..." You see [forum] I have fought that denomination from the very beginnings. The atom is not made by the (coincidental) association of all-sizes of particles rearranged into orbits for pure convenience! I see each and every atom [in other words: forms of matter] as a collection of speks of radiation with the size of a lepton [I called it "lepton factor once before]... see my article "Rediscovering the atomic model part II." So, my friend Guille, it doesn't make any sense speaking about how we will call those particles you just have mentioned in your interesting response.
Let's try to make some important points and see if I could succed in bringing to you and the rest of my friends the image of my brain:
Let's start with the number one (1). If you try to obtain the square value of 1 you end up with the same 1... right? ok! That concept will be depicting mathematically the ground state of each HARMONIC of mine.
YES! The so-called "ground state" repeats at the "quark-level" later on at the "proton-level" and the popular "electron-level" too. But it continues after the electron-level into a further expansion I "blamed" for what today physicists consider to be the "wave function of the electron."
Pay attention to this because is crucial to understand my point:
The whole spectrum or spatial projection of a PRIMARY STANDING NUCLEAR WAVE formed after the interaction between two or more speks of radiation inside the atomic core is compossed (if you may) by layers I would call harmonics. BETWEEN THE FIRST "GROUND STATE" AND THE SECOND [it does not matter which ones you refers to] you'll find an entire SCALE of harmonics, just like a PIANO [remember my analogy?] The same type of interatomic "geography" is met again between the second and the thirs "ground state" and so on!
For example: There is a ground state with capacity for two quarks spinning in opposite directions and holding the same energy density, but because the standing wave patterns spins in one direction only, the (second) capacity I referred here is the one hold by mass...[pure and innert mass]. This is what makes possible an atom to work as an OSCILLATOR! BY REPLACING THE MASS BY ANY ENERGY YOU'LL OBTAIN A QUANTUM. If the replacement of mass was done with heat, then you get phonons, if E-M energy was used then you get a photon and also an electron depending the conditions of the oscillator.
Let's go back to the atom!
We know that the ground-state is stable. You see that in the studies with the atom of hydrogen. Then the second "electroinc orbit" which is no other than "my harmonic" must be considered as 2. But 2 does have a square! That explains why scientists have asigned those "levels" or orbits to an assumed presence of X number of electrons (as particles) and they are DEAD WRONG! by doing so. Those "electrons-particles" supposed to spin on those orbits are the REFLEXION of what's taking place inside the very core of the atom... can't you visualize it?
Hydrogen, my friend, is what I called the primary "energy-family." Every other atom in this universe is made by the BOND (OR MULTIPLE BONDS) of hydrogen(s) at deeper scales of energy...NOT between electrons! but at levels well beyond quarks!
A bond between two hydrogen atoms (two energy-families) at the ground-state level of a quark could produce neutrons [I considered neutrons as BONDS and not as independent particles, you may read some of my articles to make sure. That's explains, among other things, why neutrons DO decay and protons, quarks and even deeper existent LEVELS of ground-states DO NOT!
There is an UNKNOWN reason to understand why the universe "allow" the ground-state to exist with the density of one lepton. It's a fact that makes all the elements universal across the cosmos.
Anyway! My friend guille, this is the reason I see and visualize the atom as a marvelous composition of bonds between standing nuclear waves consequence of high-energy radiation specks. The letal and horrible fire is present inside every single element of the universe. It's being kept save for eons in the form of matter. Mass is not energy [never will be such] however it is the tool that could make possible our existence. A perfect vacuum would exist in every single confrontation between waves of energy coming out of thos specks of radiation, but mass rush to the scene to fill the gap avoiding with its presence such violation...
Make an effort, please, and try for a moment to visualize an atom made in that way. Then you'll understand that simplicity and beauty used in the creation of our universe.
One last point! about those dimenssions you mentioned before: If two waves confront eachother straight against, a spinning pattern will be formed that occupies [physically] two dimenssions. The dimenssion or line of confrontation will cause the cancellation of those waves immidiately. This feature is what explains why some molecules are coupled with degrees of alignement between them. Don't take my word for it! Go to a web-page with the representation of a simple standing wave experiment and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Regards to all of you!
