generation gap in QFT - 04-17-2006, 02:29 PM

The three families of leptons comprising electron (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron), muon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muon), tauon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antitauon), and their respective neutrinos could not be explained by any known theory of elementary particles neither could they be elucidated by extension of the Standard Model of high-energy physics: why there is just three family. However, TQS could easily give a phenomenological description by LOE mass ratio that approximates experimental data, if the electron lives in 5 LOE, then muon in 11 LOE, and tauon in 16 LOE, or 6-13-19, or 7-15-23. The differences are 6-7-8 and 4-6-8.

Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

Antonio,What really is the reality,in all these names.leptons,an
electron is basically a subatomic vortex, with two opposing spins! And at
the (widest)end of the vortex it is filled with calm ether, its narrowing end
with "stormy ether",I think physics invents names, like quarks, charm, leptons,
It seems that the more names you can give to ONE reality, the better and more secure it feels. There is just energy, that manifests via and courtesy
of the ether. And within that is still energy, subatomic particles are just
small packets of energy?
kind regards michael.

I don't understand where this is from and what it means?

The families of leptons can only be distinguished by the mass differences. That is to say with all properties being equal, the tauon is heavier than the muon, while the muon is heavier than the electron. Yet as the lightest particle, the electron is stable. It lives forever. That is to say, its lifetime is infinite. So, why do heavy particles have such a brief existence?

The differences of the quantum numbers for LOE. 11 - 5 = 6, 13 - 6 = 7, 15 - 7 = 8 while 16 - 11 = 4, 19 - 13 = 6, 23 - 15 = 8.
