I can't understand how cattle and horses built up all those muscles and protein living on grass and hay?

I heard where it takes 8 pounds of corn to get 1 pound of meat. Not the most efficient way to feed the world. And the Chinese likes their beef now.

Although seemingly distant on the food chain, the chlorophyl of green grass and the hemoglobin of red blood are almost molecularly identical.
