For the sake of dynamic configuration stability it has been well established that quadruple configurations held the most effective instability counterbalance topological structure. Since octuple configuration can easily realize by the superposition of 2-quadruple moments, it can be used effectively for the establishment of plasma dynamic equilibrium, for example, cold fusion configuration of 2 deuterons of 4 nucleons (2 protons and 2 neutrons).
The effective uses of quadruple moments have been applied successfully to building a Penning Trap of laser cooling. It was used by Hans Georg Dehmelt for trapping indefinitely single positron by quadruple electric-magnetic moments. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1989 with Wolfgang Paul for this effort. This is also realized in mechanical application of square head drill bits to reduce or to completely eliminate the mechanical instability of stripping. The cold fusion reaction of two deuterons into a helium nucleus is also a quadruple nucleons reaction. At the most fundamental level, it can be said that spacetime quantization also follows a double quadruple configurations as described by 8 directional invariance properties.
