Baseball, Apple-pie, and Chevrolet, these three iconic catch words represent, at the core, the meaning of life for anyone living in a free country, especially for someone living in the United States of America. In a sense, they symbolize the true meaning of freedom. However, realistically everything does come at certain costs and there is no free lunch or free energy. These costs frequently appear wherever and whenever, and without any space-time preferences, here, there, or anywhere, in the past, now, or in the future, a drive to achieve maximum efficiency. On the other hand, to do nothing, without drive or ambition, would only mean minimum efficiency approaching zero, and zero efficiency costs nothing but the collapse of an existing economy.
In the history of baseball, hardly any player reached a batting average efficiency of more than 30%, obeying the rules of the game of fair-play. In an effort to reach maximum health: an apple a day keeps the doctor away makes perfect sense. The carbohydrates in most fruits and vegetables give the highest energy efficiency. Desire to move efficiently from here to there or from there to here maximizing covered distances and minimizing elapsed time intervals made possible the growing industries of combustion engine technologies. If there are no sports then there are no funs and excitements and life becomes boring. If there are no greens and grains at the base of the food pyramid then the living body failed to function at maximum efficiency. If there is no mobility then the world stood still at zero efficiency.
