    Math

If there are any brainiacs out there I have a challenge for you.

If, we took the entire current world population, and put them in an environment which was equal (the natural environment/weather - would be the same condition everywhere/equal) at what point, in how much time would it take for everyone to be the same color, and what would that color be?

    Re: Math

Most likely the decision would depend on people's preferences as more and more technologies relating to genetic material becomes accessible we can really say we are not controlled by the normal laws of genetics anymore.

Are you assuming everybody is one color? That goes against the entropy of everything else in life, maybe we will have as many purple people in 1000 years as we have any other color, but your not going to drag us into an ethnic debate here, we hope we are beyond that.

Graybeard; I don't like this answer...seems like a very unsophisticated answer.

lol ... sorry Unify ... no offence .... it wasn't meant to be a serious answer ..... Perhaps if you just listen to the words of the song ??

(certainly not meant, nor do I mean to, start an ethnic debate)

    Re: Math

You take the question to directions it was not meant to go. This is not your fault however because I wasn't quite clear. This has nothing to do ethnicity, or generic alteration. This is more about unity, and less about division or "ethnicity." If everyone, were simply in the same conditions, no genetic alterations to be done, and just good old fashioned baby making were to take place, how many licks would it take to get to the center of the human roll pop, and what color would the people be?

If we follow evolution at all, the only reason we are of different colors is because of different climates. And if we were to say this is purely scientific, it would not be because it was the color we chose before we were born, or the color that was chosen for us by some other means or measure. Just good old fashioned baby making under the same conditions, minus all this ethnic stigma to allow for a free mix. Where it counts, we are all the same color anyhow, on the inside. Far as I know, but I could be wrong. Though the phrase, "blank has a black heart comes to mind."

I must assume everyone would turn out to be one color if they all mixed, under equal conditions eventually. Would it really matter what the color was? It's just a silly question, don't let it bother you. I like variety, but I also like to wonder. I really don't see how that would go against entropy either, we assume everything so wonderfully complex is made from one simple thing. Bang, the fundamental particle? And it appears that a lot of people think that everything gets all swallowed up and reduced to some fundamental whole. Two simple points with so many complications in-between.

Seems familiar to birth and death, and has the same basic questions .... where did/does it/we come from, where does/do it/we go? But this is about statistics!

Since the various skin colors are parts of the genetic sequences similar to blue eyes, green eyes, or brown eyes, they are not affected by the external agents of change especially the changes of weather patterns. However, by natural selection and the survival of the fittest through mutations would more than likely alter the genetic sequences. But these processes take millions or billions of years.
