The winner of any contest is privileged to look backward and sees the word ‘WON’ which is simply the word ‘NOW’ spelled in reverse order. The one who is standing at the edge of the expanding universe is simply the one who has won the right to exist, one who can look back all the victorious glories of the past. The one who can say “I am alive” in the truest meaning of the word “LIVE.” However, looking back in the opposite direction of the word “LIVE” all one sees is the word “EVIL.” Since both good and evil must exist and connected in the space-time continuum, everything belonging to the past is evil and the one thing that is now is the one and only good who won and who can truly say “I am NOW I WON.” The opposite is “I am past I lost.” These two with a third component can complete the absolute eternal trichotomy of memory, body, and spirit. There can be memories of the past but never memories of the future. Therefore, I am future I blank. A vanishing point is neither good nor is evil. It is identically zero which is neither positive nor negative. It simply existed, exists now, and continues to exist in the future at the absolute zero of temperature. It is the zero-point energy of the quantum vacuum fluctuations of squares of energy representing the singular symmetric Hadamard matrices of any order and of any dimension.

Very interesting, the English language. I am not conversant enough in others to examine if the same holds true elsewhere.

Does conjecture about the future influence the present?

And how would your 'memory' know if you were living life backwards, with one memory at a time being removed. The future, your starting point, would not be in your 'memory', and you would always insist that you had arrived at the present, because that is all your memory would be able to access.

The road to Dasmacus is two way, not one way. Saul 'knows' he is enroute, but his conversion blinded him to the future ... ergo he is on 'the road to Damascus'. This is all he knows .... the past is all we know. To draw this out, Saul 'remembers' Damascus, but does not know where he started from ?

The corollary being we 'remember' the past, but not the future.
