    In that case everyone is happy including the cats. As the saying goes waste not want not.

    If you can see the bottom then you dont need the bait just yank the line when the fish swim close to the hook. I caught one with the hook embedded into the middle section of the fish. It happened to be a vegetarian fish. It refuses live worm baits.

    Some of the fishermen here use sweet corn as bait,I might just try that better than wriggly worms.

    I always thought hungry fish will eat anything but I was wrong. There is certain time of the day that fish will bite. From my experience this happens few hours before sunrise and few hours after sunset.
