| How do you do a 'Quick Reply', and how do 'Thanks' and Thanked' happen? Please. -

I guess I'm in the right place to be asking questions, and I have a few.
What is meant my 'Thanks' and 'Thanked' - I'm not being impertinent here, I really don't understand. Just recently I was thanked by somebody for something. I know not what or by whom.
Neither do I know how to thank anyone other than including it in a post saying whatever I'm grateful for to whomever. (I'm darn near computer illiterate - on line computers - beyond word processing - is way ahead of my abilities and experience. Please excuse.)
Also, I don't understand...
"Please click one of the quick reply icons in the post above' for a quick reply.
I don't know what icons they're referring to. Would somebody kindly steer me straight on these issues.?
Thank You (in advance?).
- RP (George Berkeley, 1710) ... lay the beginning in a distinct explication of what is meant by thing, reality, existence: for in vain shall we dispute concerning the real existence of things, or pretend to any knowledge thereof, so long as we have not fixed the meaning of those words. "All things come out of the one and the one out of all things." - Heraclitus "Reality is an illusion - albeit a persistent one." - Einstein "Particles give me a headache." - Ibid |
