    Pardon me...my spirit is maturing

Well here we sit on the precipice of ending 2010 and it almost seems like last night Toequest had a stroke!

In all fairness and respect for Robert because this forum is his creation and to those who act as ‘guards on the edge’ I do not wish to go into blame, reckless tempting of fate, attack, offence, defense, guilt and consequences. After all when a river flows under a bridge it is rather futile to stand on the other side and attempt to force it backwards. We all know that is not how a river functions.

Confucius says, "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do."
There is no failure in the sense it cannot be overcome; there are only valuable learning experiences that come with stumbling and falling.

The great cranium of Toequest is the cranium of its members. Every thread has the potential to be a ‘human crucible’ forging a one-of-a-kind shared experience everyone can participate in or a ‘closed circle’ that grows inclusion, thereby through consequence building a wall that involves exclusion.

Did we intentionally or unintentionally create a division in Toequest? As I am favorable to believing in the best of people I have decided to align myself with the fact that this division that now divides us was created just a tad below the threshold of our conscious participation here. Although might I add that is just my decision.

Do we as Toequest go into 2011 burdened by division and its problems of labeling people and name calling which has the natural consequence of loss of composure in a thread…or do we go into 2011 as scholars with a mind open enough and broad enough, to examine even what is seen as the incomprehensible and that which is tagged exceptionally taboo subject matter?

Could we dispose of labeling for the inclusion of questions? Could we dispose of name-calling for the inclusion of the wisdom of wit or the sheer pursuit of wondering??
Wisdom is knowing what path to take, but it takes integrity, to take it….I think Nobody said it quite nicely with the simple statement, ‘we are not at war here.’

    Regards Mikal

Learning is a part of life and people can have their own particular view of things and that's not bad thing, IMO. Maybe the disagreements are taken too personally.

Thank you Steve! I kind of felt for everybody last night and it left me wondering if after the milk is spilt does it really matter how we clean up the mess. No big deal just one of the finer points in forum life...smiles....
