Topics for TOEs - 08-16-2004, 10:33 AM

Could you point TOE authors toward a place on this forum where they can post their TOE as a topic, and get comments on it. I can see several theories being pushed forward, but there should be a central place where you can find information about them.
If a member has a full theory to present, they can start a topic in the TOE forum and receive feedback on it. If they only have partial ideas they can post them on the other forums.

Could you also instruct people to keep their descriptions short, a TOE is supposed to be simple and beautiful

Thanks

Existing Facilities - 08-18-2004, 12:08 AM

Hi Cristian.

I'd like to point folks to the ToeQuest Research Library where there is a category named "TOE Theories" for researchers to post new TOE Theory proposals. Others can read, comment and vote on the TOE Theory. You are required to sign up as a TOE Researcher to submit to the library, however.

The Link Manager has a category named "Theories of Everything" for websites dedicated to sites promoting a specific TOE Theory. Again users can comment on the link and vote.

A possibiity on this forum is the existing "Other Unified Theories" forum in the Physics category. This was meant for discussions on existing unified theories including personal proposals for new TOE Theories.

With that said, I think it may still be useful to have a "Post your TOE Theory Here" forum as you suggested. I'll give it some more thought and see what I come up with. Thanks!

Almost There - 10-09-2004, 12:27 AM

The problems with particle physics and string theories such as TOE is that they are based on creating new science rather than looking for explanation in existing science.

Energy as matter: Take a single photon, apply a chaotic orbit, and then at the boundary you will have photon pressure. This is a simple description of matter, not a complex one. Next one would look how this type of mathematics could be used to describe protons, neutrons, etc. The point is that this view has stable, useable output. Matter as energy in orbit, the orbit possibly defined by folded space..E=mc2...think about it.

Superconductivity: Electronics traveling in a reverse spin pair have a planar wave of 2*e. Compress a highly polarized lattice structure until the planar electric vector between lattice planes becomes the wavelength of an electron and the amplitude is double that of an electron. Thus, you have defined a reverse spin pair of electrons across the lattice structure so the probability is one at either end of the lattice. Electrons at either end simultaneously....think about it.

Gravitation: Again, electron spin can be considered. If one assumes that a reverse spin pair is the lowest energy state for two electrons, then one can apply this to a simple theory on gravitation. If two molecules in close proximity affect each other's electron spin and foster a reverse spin pair of electrons in their outer shells, then the effect is that the the electric vector between the two molecules will become a planar wave perpendicular to the axis drawn through the nuclei of the two molecules. If this interaction happens, then the electrons' repulsion is now weaker. The molecules would tend to clump together if further proximity weakened the repulsion further. Eventually the nuclear repulsion would rebalance the equation so the molecules would not fuse. They would only gravitate toward each other. This would be a weak force since pulling them apart would only be affecting the spin of the electroncs which have little mass. This would mean that electricity is gravity as Einstein predicted....think about it.

Unstable energy patterns that exist for a billionth of a second are not useful. String theory again is seeking to create new entities. If all matter is energy and strings are small mass entities that vibrate, then underneath of the theory energy must be moving between two distinct point boundaries which define the ends of the string.

I prefer to look at the universe as it is. Nearly everything is round which is what happens when one applies uniform boundary conditions in three dimensions.

New "TOE Theories" Forum - 10-21-2004, 11:53 PM

Cristian,

You'll be happy to know that I took you up on your suggestion and created a new TOE Theories forum. Sorry it took so long.

perhaps it would be best to have a seperate category for string theory and then a category for all other toe want to be's it makes no sense to lump String theory in with the rest of the crowd.

Added a String Theory Forum - 12-18-2004, 04:20 PM

I took Tom's suggestion and I added a String Theory forum to the Theory of Everything category. I also added a forum Other TOE Theories, into which I merged the Other Unified Theories from the Physics category. I then added a Your TOE Theory for a member's personal TOE theory or work-in-progress that has not been widely published. Some other changes as well with more re-organization coming this weekend.
