I suppose that it would be natural to conclude that alchemy was a science of
the past, but when one looks at the modern day sciences such as the nuclear
one, there elements are changed and tranformed into different mediums.
this process of transforming lies at the very heart of alchemy.fusion power is
just around the corner, when this happens alchemy will be brought into the 21st century.

kind regards michael.

Michael, what I like about what I've seen about alchemy so far (still learning!) is that there is marriage between art, philosophy and science, which doesn't seem to have translated to modern day but which evokes a visceral and resounding sense of rightness. These things belong together and their separation is artificial and has resulted in lack of progress on all fronts.

I thought this was all related to feromones (sp?). I know instant attraction can be powerful and instant repulsion just as powerful. I guess I thought that modern science had explained it by scent...

I think all sexes are subject to the chemical cocktail that drives us crazy. Is it just chemistry?

Hi!!
just clicking around looking at stuff and saw this thread.

My understanding of alchemy (vis Kybalion) is that it is the transmutation of the spirit foremost and transmutation of elements secondly (iehilosophers stone, etc.). By using higher Hermetic principals to affect lower ones we may transmutate emotions, life processes and (yes) material.
Hermetic principals:
all things are mental
all things vibrate
" " exhibit polarity
" " " rhythm
causation
gender
correspondence
