Hiya,
You say the bald dude made analogies, without actually saying much.
What did 'you' have in mind?
What did 'you' want to hear?
There is nothing to say, also there is no proof needed to prove that 'you' exist.
Paradoxically 'you' do not exist as a 'separate entity' 'you' are existence IT-self.
What more proof does no-one need.?
Understanding is knowing the 'true self' from the 'false self' (imposter)
Once that is understood, there is nothing else to understand.
Quite simply there is Nothing to Understand
Or is there a need for an explanation.
IT is felt in the heart, it is self explanatory.
When we allow for everything to be as it is.
It IS ..... AS IT IS ..... SEEN.
Plainly
Love.
PS.....yer all on my buddy list, every god damn one of yer's
I got no problem with the first line Mel.... Its the second one I need a bit more explanation on. Apart from saying 'it is, because it tis' ... is there anything else you can give me to help me believe it ??
When the bald guy was asked this he just pointed to his shadow and said its just like that. but thats just analogy??

Hi Mel,
There are many functions of our world that really show the true beauty of logic. To just say that we are because we are, and not acknowledge the beauty of the design, seems like the worst thing to do, and could keep one from seeing the real beauty. There are many more functioning things in this world other than ourselves and our minds, and they are just as worthy of investigation; but that's just my opinion.
LoL.....Thanks,
Tim

You can’t see a shadow without illumination of the object and a surface to project it onto. The bald guy lacks the illumination upstairs!
I think everyone should read the site Robert provided a link to about fallacies.

'WE' are the 'shadow' of the real: WE are a reflection.melanie's second line:
Paradoxically 'you' do not exist as a 'separate entity' 'you' are existence IT-self.
That's what Burt Harding was trying to convey.
There is nothing to believe.
For any belief is an identification with a separate self who thinks there is something to believe.
I cannot give you anything to make 'you' believe.
Only 'you' can realize 'your' non-existence.
'you' already are what you are trying to understand.
'you' are what 'you' are looking for.
Self seeking Self
Hide and Seek
A game it plays with itself.

It's not a fallacy .. Also no-thing can ever be proven.
For one very good reason.
There is no-one to prove anything.
It is self evident within itself, and one with the knowing.
We can all tap into that deeper understanding.
At the moment we are only the tip of the ice-berg.
We are only using 10% of the brains capacity.
To understand the oneness concept,
Our normal flurry of thinking will have to be transcended.
It will never make sense until then.
It can come to you in any instant AHA! moment.
Or it can even happen while you are walking in the park one day.
Meanwhile once it is realized, it is business as usual.
We then go and have an Ordinary Life.
Ordinary functional senses.
Amazing intelligence.
Doing is done -No doer thereof.

Alright Mel .... Normally I would expect some other method of verification for the first quote. You can't just say, or at least you shouldn't, according to the forum rules, that something is/isn't just because it is/isn't.
Dave, and the rules, are quite correct in stating this is a fallacious argument. Read them if you don't believe me. Fallacious arguments are not allowed on the forum.
But anyway, let it stand, let it stand for now.
The second quote you MUST provide some verification. Where do you get this from ? This is an incorrect statement and you should provide evidence that causes you to believe it.
no offence ... I like ya ... cool bananas ... greg![]()

I am not denying our natural curiosity to discover, that is all part of the story of being, that's why manifestation arises as it does.
Beingness turns to form.
But it is The Presence of Being doing the discovering AS and THROUGH 'you'
and not 'you' per se.
Knowing the concept of oneness, enhances the divine design of natural beauty:
IT magnifies it billions of times over. It becomes more beautiful than ever.
Because it is seen with the clarity of mind, and not with the usual opaqueness of our minds.
