    Dream Reality

    Why the Perfection in Dreams?

The night dream was so beautifully lucid that I began to inspect it, as I do sometimes. It was daytime, outdoors, everything totally bright and illuminated and no different whatsoever from waking reality.

The dream kept going on, not realizing at all that I was noting all of its intricacies. I was walking along outside and my dream even made up one of those airy silky white floating fluff-like wispy swirly things that comes off of a plant! How amazing that it would do that!

Why? How? For what purpose does a perfect virtual reality exist in dreams?

I personally think the 'Dream Reality' you speak of, is the Evolutionary consequence of the "Spirit of Man" trying to live, while the body rests.
    Real / Motion = Reality!

Real: Potential of Infinity for Eternity.
Motion: Resonating of Synchronicity for Evolution.
Reality: Formation of Space for Time.

    LIFE: IS(Real), FREEDOM(Motion), BEING(Reality)!

    Re: Dream Reality

The mind certainly keeps on going during sleep, sometimes even being rational enough that we can act exactly the same as we would during waking life. Other times, though, we are lacking of our full self and even do "bad" things that we'd never do while awake.

The fact of the perfect virtual reality seems to tell me that this model is the same one employed while we are awake—what turns electromagnetic waves and such into an even better and more usable interpretation of what is out there unsorted.

Of course I don't know that the 'spirit' is anything other than the mind at work, doing what it does so well.

There are 4 levels to the mind and 4 levels of mental awareness. There is active waking state (Beta/Brainwaves at 14-30 cps.) There is daydreaming (Alpha/Brainwaves at 7-14 cps.) There is detachment from external reality for example deep introspection which closes the gate of the senses and turns attention inward (Theta/Brainwaves 4-7cps.) There is sleep/the subconscious (Delta/Brainwaves at 1-4 cps.) What we call the spirit can only be experienced in the Delta state.

Maybe we should just call this deepest kind of sleep the Delta state, in lieu of any definition of "spirit" in all its full specifics and details…

This delta rhythm is the stage in which it is hardest to wake up from, plus it is the scene of night terrors, bedwetting, sleepwalking and sleep-talking occurrences. Sometimes I can hardly move when trying to get up from this kind of sleep.

Gerald said that "spirit" is that part of us which is particles of light. He also said "Delta" state is the state of pure consciousness so maybe the effects you speak of are still effects from the 3rd state of Theta....this could be so because in Delta is pure consciousness, higher awareness and higher intelligence, and space and time are non-existent at this level....I understand this exactly....

    Re: Dream Reality

Perhaps you were somehow awake in the deepest state of sleep…

So, anyway, what is a perfect virtual reality for in our night dreams? And I mean perfect in every way, for I have often inspected it minutely. Have also traveled to far away places. After some practice, one can wish anything in these lucid dreams.

For a month, say to yourself over and over before falling asleep: "It's only a dream; do whatever you wish, etc."

Sleep time has now become an all night cable channel.

And what if we could lucidly live there for more than just a dream's worth of time? Even for all time? Sounds rather magical, doesn't it?

Now, for the final question: what if you had a dream while awake, but resting or in some trauma or some sleep paralysis or whatever special state? Would you, could you report it as a real happening? Remember, seeing something beside you is not any proof that you are really awake-awake… for the virtual reality is perfect in every way the same as real would be.

    Austin;

I read a book on lucid dreaming a long time ago. Even though many would probably say "it was just made up", I have always thought it had merritt, but did not try it. I guess I was to afraid that I would not want to come back to reality LOL.

It is interesting to see you have made lucid dreaming work for you, I think I'll start doing what you suggested and see if I can also get more control of my dreams.

It was thinking about the way that the mind took random energy and made dreams seem real, that first got me thinking about the Universe as an Aware entity. Now, if the Universe can manipulate reality like we can our dreams, well, that is something to think about at least.

Motion: Resonating of Synchronicity for Evolution.

    Re: Dream Reality

It could be that the sleeping mind still tries to make sense of random noise and memories perhaps to give us practice, although some of the practice is for things that I hope I never run into. Once I was on a train heading straight for a mountain, so I wished away the mountain, which then evaporated, allowing the rain to pass right on through.

In the real world "out there", for example, there are no colors, but just differing wavelengths in a small area of the entire electromagnetic spectrum that turn into colors only in our minds, putting a better face on reality, this system surviving over others than perhaps showed some other representation.

Similar with odours, taste, sounds, and even light (as made from sensing photons—and so we can even "see" inside of our "dark" heads (whether awake or asleep).
