A new send PM option

When a post does not add to the topic under discussion, but engages more in socializing, joking, or off-topic discussions, be aware that your post is at risk of deletion by a moderator to clean and re-focus the thread. Usually these off-topic posts are better handled as a private message to the poster. To make this easier for members I have added a new 'SendPM' button at the bottom of every post. By clicking this button, a new browser window will open to the "Send New Private Message" window already addressed to the poster.

Since this may increase the PM traffic I have increased the PM count to 50 for all regular members. Members of the highly esteemed Toe Club will continue to have 120 as their limit.

Hi Michael,

I will suggest to the moderators that when these messages do arise, especially the socializing type, that they not delete them immediately, but try and let them stay around for a short while. This way they serve their purpose and may increase the sense of community we have and yet not be a distraction weeks later when the thread is reviewed for information content. Still, the preferred means is through PMs, and the linger time for these types of posts should be days rather than weeks.
