Your Zoints Profile

In my continuing quest to provide the best website possible for researching the Theory of Everything, I wanted to let everyone know that I have added a new optional profile system to ToeQuest called Zoints. It's new, catching on with many forums, considered cool, and provides a great service to both forum owners (me) and forum communities (you).

What is Zoints?
Zoints is a forum network and profile system in use by more than 200 forums, including many of the largest in the world. It provides you with new features such as your own highly customizable personal webpage, photo albums, blog, page to show off your vehicle, means to keep track of friends, and MUCH more. In turn, Zoints is designed to help bring new members who share the same interests as we do to this forum. An example profile of a car forum member can be seen here.

If you don't want to use Zoints, don't worry, you can turn it off by going to your user control panel options page and unchecking the boxes at the very bottom.

How Will Zoints Change Our Forum?
Not much. I've added an additional link under your avatar for each post and there is a link in the dropdown menu when you click on a members name next to the post. Theres also a link in the upper navigation bar menu named ZOINTS. I'm style adjusting the style of the links so this may yet change.

Q. Do I HAVE to use Zoints? Can't I just turn off the box and links without linking to my profile?

A. No, you don't have to use Zoints. To turn it off, go to your user control panel, then edit options. Scroll to the very bottom and uncheck the two boxes under "Zoints Options".


Q. Does Zoints have a privacy policy? I'm concerned about them sharing my information.

A. Zoints' privacy policy can be read here.


Q. If I'm not sure how to do something on Zoints, who should I contact?

A. You can submit a support request on Zoints by going here or clicking on the at the top of your screen at Zoints.


Q. How is Zoints different from all those other networks I already have a profile at?

A. Zoints is designed to benefit our forum. For example, they actively work to drive traffic to our forum based upon interest. People who aren't interested in our forum won't end up joining here because of Zoints. By using Zoints, you will help this site gain new members who can become great contributors.


Q. I really don't want anyone except members here to be able to view my profile. Is that possible?

A. Yes! Just set your group permissions accordingly.

Sounds very interesting Robert ,it will take me a while to understand it,I am off to Turkey
today for two weeks,will see if anyone there at the local internet cafe understands zoints?

Zoints is somewhat new but seems to be catching on recently. Be sure to mention zoints in those Turkey internet cafes and the patrons will see you as "in the know", and on the evolutionary edge of social networking. Wide-eyed people will gather around and sit in awe as you give exciting knowledge of zoints and use this as your segway into the exciting realm of ToeQuest and your mighty quest for the Theory of Everything. You then relate your many encounters with Carly, your meeting of the TOE Messiah who appears no more, your drinking journeys into the very heart of reality in the Many-Worlds pub, and your threads of consciousness and controversies that arose.

Well Robert,I have just returned from Turkey today,and I did mention Toequest there
to the chap who ran the cafe,however very shortly after that there was a blackout,and all
power went off for several hours,do you think that was just a coincidence?
I thought it wise not to return!

That was a very wise decision not to return! Perhaps we are on to something here and the Gods are angry with us. I hope that's not the case.

I sure hope you enjoyed your trip to Turkey. Nice to have you back
