That's right neutralino. And if you need any further demonstration, just ask yourself, "how the hell was there a tornado in the ROCKY MOUNTAINS!!" It's because of consciousness make it so, like KOSOL says
POK,is consciousness somehow focussed with this rainmaking gizmo?And if so,
how do they interface? What is the principle law at work here?
warm regards michael.

This is a perfect example of a hijacked thread. Please be aware that all posts not related to the topic are at risk of being deleted or split into a separate thread. I'm just not sure where to move them to yet. Or what title to give it.
Robert;
If you create a forum called “The Trash Bin”, there will always be a place to move such posts. That way you won’t have someone complain to the administrator of being deleted.

"Lost the Plot" would be much kinder Dave

Yes I've noticed this too! But I can name a few cases where a new member was pounced on by longstanding members . I think we have to be aware that new members are perhaps not going to immediately express themselves clearly (Toequest gives the uninitiated headspins) nor do they yet fully understand the meaning behind the expression of others. So I say:

Perhaps you should include something in the forum rules telling posters that hijacking threads is frowned upon, and also explaining what a thread hijacking actually entails! I agree that completely offtopic hijacking should be removed from threads, however sometimes it's a fine line between hijacking, and discussion of a closely related topic.

I like it when people hijack my threads. It's considered an honor. Who was it that said that everything is relevant?
Why would you consider it an honor for someone to change the topic that you started? For someone to add to a topic, or build upon an idea, I would consider that to be an honor. But, if I were to start a topic about, let's say increasing member participation on the website, and someone comes along and, I don't know, starts talking about something completely unrelated like, well, weather manipulation. Some might consider that rude behavior. I think you would agree.
But I do get your point and think it's ok for a thread to meander a little bit as long is it relates to the topic. If it strays too far and would start significant discussion it is better to start a new thread with a reference to the new thread in the original thread. That makes it easier for others to quickly search for relevant information. It also prevents threads from growing too large. Who wants to read through 50 pages of postings when the topics strays all over the place? We've got a few threads with this very problem right now.
Oh, and by the way, we have 178 active members now.
Hooray Robert! 178? Well whatever we did we must have done something right. If I have strayed too far from the topic I apologize. To tell you the truth, I don't know how it all got started. Well, I'll have to remove the pictures. Too much information and I don't want to upset any paradigms or anything.
