Could a please ask where the format of the four oracles came from?
I would also like to humbly ask the black belts if the TOE can be answered with what appears to be a single question?
If possible could one of you kind souls also direct me to where I could find the mission statement of TOE quest, I struggle a bit with the interface.

Your guess is as good as mine, since we don't currently have a theory. However, I'm not sure how something can be answered by a question.

I think the 'mission statement' is really cool and inclusive, i have an idea though.

It is a bit like the 4 oracles.

I get the impression that the TOE could be many things and not neccesarily an answer to a question.

However would it not be a good idea that some basic questions were asked initially by one of these oracles.

• The oracle would need to be fomally qualified in the field and context of the question.
• This question thread would be highly edited by the oracle to only allow answers which were relevant in the field.

This, I beleive, would increase accessabilty to the TOE as forums wouldn't wander or be populated by questions involving seperate fields.

I accept that the from metaphysical point of view that the TOE may not exist, from physical point of view though I think a number of questions should be asked.

I'll try and answer this as much as I can, but I'll also ask Robert to take a look at this thread, as he will be able to provide much more comprehensive answers than I can!

Firstly, I think the point of the oracles is that members ask questions in the appropriate forum and then receive an answer. So, say someone has a physics question, they would post in the physics questions forum and then receive an answer. However, you state that the oracles should ask a question. I'm not sure that this is the main function of them.

To your second point, I would agree. Threads in the physics questions (and the other three) forum will be edited such that the answers are relevant to the specific field. As of now, I cannot say who the oracles will be, but I presume that the threads will be edited by the moderators of the appropriate forum.

I think I that oracles should answer any question.

I mean that, I wonder whether an oracle though may ask a question from their field, say in astrophysics

'What happened at or before the Big Bang?'

The oracle would, say, edit philosophical answers or concepts which are none physics i.e. none related. Such answers could be directed to another moderated but unedited forum.
