New Forum Layout in Progress

Your fearless leader has decided to re-organize the Land of TOE. The purpose for doing this is to bring order to our land of occasional chaos where scientists, philosophers, biologists, and ghost hunters can all live together (and be orange) in synergistic harmony in a multi-pronged offensive on the TOE. Only in the badlands of Arcade do members battle in games of wit and strategy. First we need a strong foundation, the Four Pillars of the TOE: Physics, Philosophy, Biology and Spirit. Then we need the proper tools to work with: mathematics, imagination, books and software. We need monthly themes spread throughout time in the Land of TOE. All members in the land of TOE should be allowed to ask questions and be heard; therefore, each pillar shall have an oracle. Your questions will be heard and the mighty oracle will respond. Confusing and unpopular forums will be removed, merged, or transformed. Stupid forums will be sacrificed to the Gods. The really great forums, like The Multi-Worlds Pub, will remain until the next judgment day.

The process has begun and will continue sporadically throughout the day. See if you can notice the changes. I wonder who will notice the first change.

If the four Pillars of TOE, each has an Oracle attached that can respond infallibly to any question, why don't we just ask the four Oracles to supply a combined TOE ???

Alternatively, If the four Oracles are only infallible concerning their own Pillar, who are they, or what are they.

Or is this a suprise ... ????

If the four Pillars of TOE, each has an Oracle attached that can respond infallibly to any question, why don't we just ask the four Oracles to supply a combined TOE ???

Alternatively, If the four Oracles are only infallible concerning their own Pillar, who are they, or what are they.

In the beginning the Oracles will be fallible, and will provide ambiguous and incomplete answers, but they will learn. As the Oracles assimilate more and more minds into their collective, and they rely on better tools provided by the fearless leader, their knowledge and wisdom will increase, and their answers will reflect that knowledge and wisdom. They will become infallible.

Once the four Oracles are infallible the fearless leader along with all citizens of the Land of TOE must find a way to unify the Oracles so there is only one. This one unified Oracle will contain the fundamental knowledge underlying all Pillars of the TOE.

Once this grand unification has occurred, one can approach the unified Oracle and ask of it, "What is the TOE?". And the Oracle will respond.
