No one has subscribed to this forum!

I just checked and no one has subscribed to this forum! Only 8 users have subscribed to 5 other forums including 6 who are subscribed to the chat forum.

    What is a subscription
Anyway, just wanted to remind you all that a powerful feature of these forums is that you can subscribe to any forum or any thread. Currently, whenever you start a thread or post to a thread you are automatically subscribed to that thread unless you have disabled that feature. Other threads and forums you can subscribe to and receive immediate email, daily email, or a weekly summary email of all posts made to a particular thread or forum. So, instead of checking for new posts to a thread or forum you are interested in, you can subscribe and receive a summary of the latest posts and threads, and it is up to you if you want to visit the forums so you can read the details.

How do I subscribe to a thread or forum
You can subscribe to a forum by going to that forum, clicking on Forum Tools, and on the drop down menu, click on "Subscribe to This Forum". This will show you your email options. To subscribe to a thread you must first go to that thread, click on Thread Tools, and on the drop down menu, click on "Subscribe to This Thread". Again this will show you your email options.

How can I remove a subscription
You can remove subscriptions by going to your Control Panel. On the left side menu you will see a section titled "Subscribed Threads" and you should click on the "List Subscriptions" option. You will be shown all of your subscriptions. Click the checkbox on the right of the subscription you wish to delete, and click the drop down menu selection titled "Selected Threads". You are given the option to either delete the subscription or change the email notification.

    What should I do now
Ok, now that you know how this is done how about subscribing to a few forums and threads! Your first subscription can be "News and Announcements" so you are always up to date with the latest developments at ToeQuest. Lets make a goal of 20 members subscribing to at least one forum or thread. We have 8 now. Lets see if we can reach 20 in about a week. I'll post an update at that time.

    Regards

I'll subscribe to all the forums that have the possibility to be substribed to.

I didn't know that sbuscribing was possible, and I have thought of sending you a PM soon about the idea: I always like reading all posts, so now I can check each of them. Good tool, and usefull.

    Another idea

Guille, what might work better for you, since you are a regular visitor to the site, are the "Quick Scan" and "Mark all Forums Read" options. The Quick Scan will show you all the new posts made to all forums since you last clicked the "Mark all Forums Read" option. So the way to use this is to visit the main TOE Forum page, click "Quick Scan" to show a list of all the new posts that you have not read yet, read or respond to the posts that are interesting to you, and then click "Mark all Forums Read" when you are finished. You should do this each time you visit the forums and you'll never miss a post. Also, clicking on the forum's lightbulb (leftmost column) will show all new posts in that forum since you last clicked "Mark all Forums Read".

The subscription option is probably a better option for members who are less frequent visitors to the website or might be interested in only a few threads or a single forum. Otherwise, you will receive a large amount of email (unless the weekly summary option is chosen).

You should be able to disable the Quick Scan feature for individual forums but that seems to not be working at present. I'll need to take a look at that and get it fixed if it is broken.

    Hope that helps.

I'll do the quick scan thing. Until now, I was subscribed to recieve e-mails to each thread I start or reply to. I'll also subscribe to the forums. This is because although I know I always come, I like having the posts in my e-mails, so that just in case I cansee them from there with mor etime, and save them.
