What have you done?
I have added a new feature to ToeQuest that allows members to create their own quizzes for other members to take, be recorded, and ranked with other members taking the quiz. ToeQuest has had another Quiz Feature but that one will be reserved for the future Study Hall final examinations.

To restrict who can create the quizzes, I have created a new user group named "Quiz Makers" and a promotion strategy that will automatically add you to this group once you have meet the following conditions:

1. Reputation of 10 points or higher (everyone starts with 10 points).
2. You have been a member for at least 60 days.
3. You have made at least 50 posts.

I may change this in the future. To see who the current Quiz Makers are, click on "View Forum Leaders" near the bottom of the forum page. You will be shown some user groups that are available and which members are in each group.

How do I create a quiz?
If you are a "Quiz Maker" you can click on the Quizzes link on the upper navigation bar, then select Member Quizzes on the drop down menu. First you click the "Submit A Quiz" link on the left hand menu. Then you choose a quiz name, description, category, an optional image, add your questions, and then click "Submit Quiz". If the category you want is not present, you can select Other as your category, and then send me a PM and I'll add the category for you, and move your quiz over.

How do I take a quiz?
You can take a quiz by clicking on the Quizzes link, then select "Member Quizzes" on the drop down menu, same as before. You will see several categories with the number of quizzes in each listed in the rightmost column. Click on the category name, and then on an individual quiz. Should be self-explanatory from here on.

Are there any restrictions?
Not really. The "Quiz Makers" have meet some eligibility requirements so are more "trusted" than other members. Just be sure to make the quizzes relate to science. For example, a quiz on "The History of Beer Drinking" would be inappropriate. Let's try and have a minimum of 10 questions, 20 would be better, and perhaps no more than 40 questions. Some leeway here, but a quiz with 500 questions would just be wrong.

as i just got aware of your site recently = not a member for at least 60 days

shall i go to post more or less even more meaningless postings to reach the 50 posts target?

it would be greatly appreciated if you change conditions.

and i'll go to try anyway to make a quizz via quizzes - as it didn't come up with a message that i'm not allowed to make a quiz

You are a very naughty member! I will delete your meaningless postings!

Ok, ok. I have changed the eligibility requirements to the following:

1. If you are a TOE Club member you are automatically eligible.
2. You must have a reputation of 10 or more.
3. You must have made at least 30 postings. Nonsense postings will be removed and you may receive negative reputations points if you do this.
4. You must have been a member for at least 30 days.
5. If you meet #2 and you ask me nicely

The restrictions were not enforced before but are enforced now. With the eligibility rules relaxed some we have gone from 13 quiz makers to 37 possible quiz makers (20 quiz makers plus 17 Toe Club members).

you're making me laughing again ...

and i guess i can live with the new requirements now - i'll go to formulate some kind of quiz sometime soon - as soon as it is finished i'll try to make it public ... even if it requires me to be kind of nice or somewhere close to that behavior
