Again, misinterpretation. have you read anything about nihilism, anything written by Nietzsche? People have misinterpretation his terminology, but philosophers no. A philologist will tell you nihilism means believing in nothing, but NO! Philologists have no idea in this (and in fact Nietzsche himself studied philology, never philosophy). Philosophers know that that nihilism is the believe that no-thing has no value as idol for all-things can be idols. That we can believe in EVERYTHING. You cannot know your opinion is true, in fact we cannot know anything is true. And philosophy is not trying to prove you'r right, that's a complete misconception. Philosophy is understanding nature, not inventing a theory we believe in and then make reality match it, the other way round: observe reality, analyze it, and create your theory from this.Originally Posted by harmonygirl
