The souls meditation is rhythmic and cyclic in its nature,as is all else in the cosmos. The soul breathes and its form lives thereby-there is an ebb and flow in all nature, and in the tides of the ocean there is a wonderful picture of an eternal law.As the man adjusts himself to the tides of soul life,he begins to realise that there is ever flowing in,a vitalising and a stimulating which is followed by a flowing out as sure and as inevitable as the immutable laws of force. This ebb and flow can be seen functioning in the process of death and incarnation. It can be seen also over the entire process of a mans life, for some lives can be seen to be apparently static and uneventful, while others arevibrant, and full of experience and growth. The whole of life is not concentrated in one furious continuous stretch of rushing forth to work, nor is it comprehended in one eternal
siesta. Some lives seem to change their rhythm and mode of activity every seven years, others it seems, every nine or eleven years.Still others work under shorter cycles and have months of strenuous endeaver, followed by months of apparent
non-effort.Growth is one long period over many lives of building in order to destroy,of developing certain rhythmic processes in order to disorganise later.
lets hope that we do not fall of the cycle before we reach thr terminus?
kind regards michael.

slinkys... - 02-01-2006, 11:28 AM

Michael,
I absolutely agree that nature is rhythmic and cyclical. I also believe it progresses (although I am struggling with the nature of time right now). I have always thought of it like a slinky (the toy spring that was popular in the 70s--progressing, beautiful and cyclical. I understand that we perceive events as significant or not significant, depending on our own awareness but is it possible to regard everything as significant? Is it possible to believe in fate, destiny, karma and still struggle to address wrongs? How much is struggle against ourselves? Do your thoughts have consequences, even if you don't act upon them? some early morning musings...

Smile evening ponderings - 02-01-2006, 09:02 PM

well, I guess the obvious question is what are the consequences of your thoughts if you don't act upon them? (and isn't the road to hell paved with good intentions?)

Orbiting in and out of life,I mean the three dimensional expression of it,within
our exibiting persona of the time, will be,memories of past lives, these are encoded often in a way that reveals, our likes and dislikes, tastes and tensions!
which as one develops inner-sight,and looks within, maybe practises meditation
the inner self will reveal more, and as this happens, there will be an inner knowing
that the one way to pat off existing Karma, and not to incur any more is to
practise Harmlessness in thought,word,and deed.

kind regards michael.

I agree harmlessness in thought word and deed, but is it energetic consequence that flows from not having harmlessness in thought, without action?

Cool negative energy? - 02-16-2006, 07:35 PM

but still with an impact of some sort? I think I agree. Energy is transferred and if the thought is "bad" or "negative" then arguably some sort of negative energy is released. I have a problem with Karma and its practical, political consequences. I think it kind of related to the energy discussion but the doctrine has been used politically to opiate the masses by persuading them to accept their lot in life as "payment". I guess this is the eternal question, how does one communicate ideas of great magnitude without having them corrupted for base greed?

Youareabsolutely right of course
analmost impossible task!Sometimes the consequences can bevery positive as well! There isa price for everything,as you no doubt know there are no free lunches in reality!I havehad a problem with karma, and have been wrestling
with it for the past 35 years!I accept it now as a fact and consequence of
existance projected into athree dimensional world?
kindest regards michael.
