As you describe the capitalist as the one who names the object with a whole set of boundaries, then I am of the opinion that you are suggesting that is the intellectual that allows freedom of life.
The intellect is without boundaries, in the physical sense, and our thoughts are free to roam at will, or as we would direct them.
Yet, the intellect is still dependent on the physical form for it's energy, as I would understand it, and thus there are limits imposed by our biology, even upon our intellect.
I would like to hear more on these thoughts that you have posted here, gpmb, and likewise I am interested in whom you have attributed these quotes to.

I'm kind of lost there.. I thought an intellectual was aloud to think of any thing, wouldn't that include thinking up boundaries?an intellectual is allowed to name the objectivity but not the boundaries
If not then your saying an Intellectual isn't smart enough or learned enough to think of a boundary? Wouldn't that just depend on the intellectual? If your learned then your not an intellectual?

Back to the theme of capitalism.....
Interesting to note that in the retail grocery trade, the Easter holiday is marked by greater sales than even the Christmas holiday, and this does start my mind to pondering why this is so....
Then, driving home, there was an interesting piece on the radio that was remarking that, in the religion of Christianity, the holiday of Easter marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that Good Friday, the day of his death on the cross, is the most sacred of days for this reason.
Given that the term 'intellectual' does not exclude religious or spiritual beliefs, perhaps one thing that may be troubling to the intellectual mind, is the manner in which Capitalism will step in and sell to any human emotion or sensation you can name.
Fear, greed, desire, hunger, thirst, ego, performance, et al......
Perhaps it is demeaning to one who uses their mind to observe how the human condition can be turned into a commodity or an experience, and a price named to it......usually the highest price that the market will bear.......so let's manipulate the market and create a scarcity to drive up prices......
That the retail industry also thrives on commodities that target the spiritual nature of humankind, and that both propagate fear and then offer to sell the solution for the fear so created......
Yes, anyone who thinks about these matters would find much to criticize in the Capitalist system.

i was noting that the intellectual does not put a value measure on objectivity. He does not say it is only half empty or half full but say it is a half full cup or a half empty cup, just dimensions of the cup not the content ... and not because of the content ..
he does not worry about how it can hold something of value rated but that it can hold as a thing.
lol i don't know i am tired right now.
kind regards g

Can Capitalism Save The World...? Yes...! Because, There's Nothing Else That Can...
Think about it, what else can...? We've tried socialism, Marxism, communism, egalitarianism, humanism, altruism, utilitarianism and when all history is considered, just about every -ism possible of thinking__and they've all failed_miserably_except for capitalism__that always comes along and picks up all the broken pieces... Now if you look at this, and truly and deeply analyze it__What is truly taking place with all these mentalities of history, that that ol' hated capitalism always comes back and saves the day...? Truly, there's only one answer to this conundrum__It's not capitalism as a system per say, that's coming back and saving the day__It's the changing attitudes of the people, that vary from negative to positive outlooks upon capitalism__that creates the different capitalist and -ist worlds we have, at the different times in history...
There's no other valid option of systems' failure or success, except the people's attitudes toward their controlling of these law and money systems__and as to how the people, at different historical times, self-order these law and money systems... We can set the social order, through fair, and or unfair, law and money distribution systems, but we can only, at best, make sure it's a fair and level playing field, or not__and this would be the contributing attitude's position of participation, especially as to the positiveness, or negativeness, of the attitude one puts into the best, or worst, ordering of the social system, all of us are self-designing. We can't blame it on anyone else, because history has clearly shown the ebbs and flows of its crushing downturns into wars__nothing but our negative stupidities creating such__or our positive intelligences creating the greater periods of peace and prosperity, such as after WWII__as pertains to the greater world...
Now, I's well aware there's many who want to criticize capitalism, and some criticism is duely needed__but imo, not unless the critic also offers an alternative solution, just as Tom Paine long ago stated. As, what good is accomplished by nakedly criticizing the only game__in the entire history of the world__to improve the world__is this going to serve...? Abstractly speaking, If I were the 'Capitalist Being, Herself', "I'd tell the entire world to "Get Bent...!!!, if it didn't start helping me solve our massive mis-interpretations of where the true present blame belongs." "It belongs to all the idiots, who do not recognize public science is absolutely required to operate over personal psychology, to solve real world problems__always...!" "I am capitalism, that darling lil' ol' feminine beast, far too many of you all keep trying to hate__get over yourselves__I am your only survival suit..." "Do you want me to throw you a lifeline, or burn it all in hell...?" "Until any of you come up with a better offer, system, proposal or whatever, I'd advise you to give me a bit o' love__cause I'm your only hope__Got it...?" "Lil Ol' Me, Loving Capitalism__That Most Beautiful Sensuous Beast..."rrr
(just mocking the world's high intelligence level...)

As I've mentioned elsewhere, and 'twas not well received by intellectuals, lol, Capitalism is indeed the most successful model to date, because, despite the embellishments and the safety nets, it most closely models the laws of nature, or the law of the jungle. Nature has plenty of systems of exchange; most use energy as the agreed upon 'currency' of exchange, and so do we in placing a 'value' upon the commodity of fiat money.
How much energy is a given unit of currency worth? I tend to consider all purchases in the light of whether or not it is of value to me, the equivalent amount of time that it shall take me to earn the money involved for the exchange. Amazing the effect that this bit of mental math will have on one's purchasing habits, or it least it does on mine.
There are many ways to participate within the same model, and those persons and variations that are successful will predominate, and those who/which are not, shall have to attempt a different avenue or use one of the alternate options.
That most of us arrive in this world by the usual means, is perhaps, as close to level as the playing field gets.....
