The eastern teachings hold that evolution is caused by mind striving,struggling,
and pressing forward toward fuller and fuller expression,using matter as a material,and yet always struggling to free itself from the confining and retarding
influence of the latter.The struggle results in an Unfoldment,causing sheath
after sheath of the confining material bonds to be thrown off and discarded,as the spirit presses upon the mind,and the mind moulds and shapes the Matter.
Evolution is but the process of birth of the Individualized-Spirit,from the web of
matter in which it has been confined.And the pains and struggles are but incidents of the spiritual parturition.Metempsychosis-or Re-incarnation has been
the accepted belief of many of the most intelligent ot the race,from ancient-Egypt, to great minds such as Pythagoras,Empedocles,Plato,Virgil,and Ovid.
Platos dialogues are full of this teaching.In this process of be-coming to evolve
it requires many lives to gain the true understanding of our birthright,in order
to claim it in full Waking-Consciousness .

teaches that by working with the law,then over a period of many lives we learn

Aquinas discussed about it all in his "Treatise of Man" included in Part 1 of his "Summa Theologica". He particularlly talked about weather an idea, defined in thi case by all the objects of our cognition, i.e. of our mind, are that which we aprehend, or that by which we aprehend objects which are not ideas. He concluded that it is that by which. All of these that are that by which are the different parts of our brain/mind, for example memory, imagination, logical thought, spatial thoughtr, symbolic (linguistic) thought, etz. And these by which we aprehend, are par of us,a re what we are, not those which we aprehend by these. Those are parts of the world. Whiles that by which are part of the being. The middle part, the connection between being and world, or, as the world is that which happens, i.e. events, which is motion/change, then we can say, quoting Hedegger, being and time, what there is between, as I was saying at the begining of this ultra long sentence, is TRUTH. Notice I didn't say the truth, for the the truth is not the same as truth itself. Just like that by which is not the same as that which.

Another startling evidence of the proof of metempsychosis is afforded us in the cases of
"infant prodigies",which defy any other explaination.Take the case of Mozart,who at the age of four was able to not only perform difficult pieces on the piano,but actually composed original works of merit.

Not only did he manifest the highest faculty of sound and note,but also an instinctive
abilty to compose and arrange music,which ability was superior to that of many men
who had devoted years of their life to study and practise.

The laws of harmony -the science of commingling tones,was to him not the work of
years,but a faculty born in him.

There are many.many others.Plato,Abraham Lincoln,coming from a line of plain,poor,
hard working people,and possessing all of the physical attributes and characteristics
of his ancestry,he,nevertheless,manifested a mind which placed him among the foremost
of his race.

Does not metempsychosis give the only possible key?Is it not reasonable to suppose
that the abilities displayed by the infant genius,and the talent of the men who spring from obscure origin,have not their root in the experiences of a previous life??

All acts within law are balanced and the outcome always corrosponds with the act in direct
proportion,we as human beings can consciously align ourselves to be in harmony with these universal laws,and in so doing,lessen the karma we need to discharge.
