Perhaps most of us present as illusions, having been conditioned and groomed from birth as to what constitutes "proper conduct" in society.

Many are uncertain of how to express their thoughts honestly, lest some other misinterpret their words and deem them politically incorrect or injurious from another perspective.

Mind melding would be far safer than "speaking your mind" on some topics, in certain locations.

An absolutely excellent article, Racecar, and certainly made me reflect on my own reading habits since gaining high-speed internet.

Reading, I have always enjoyed, and I read fast. Long articles do not deter me, even now, but I have no time for rhetoric when I am seeking information or a new insight that resonates with my being.

Today's fast paced life and 'information overload', has led to the need to 'skim the surface', as no mortal can take in every new bit of infomation that besets us daily.

Perhaps, amid this frenzy, those with a message of import shall chose to be very concise in their wording, and those who are seeking will recognize the message precisely.
