To continue from the previous post;"Lead us from the unreal to the real"has specific
relation to the astral plane and its all-encompassing glamours.
The whole subject is related to consciousness,to the second aspect, and concerns the forms through which mankind becomes progressively aware.

These are the glamours that are part of the collected human unconsciousness than
go way back into the mists of the past. They embrace all the forms which "the desire
nature" of man has created, and are the nebulous substance of glamour, nebulous from
the physical angle but dense from the angleof the astral plane.

They are that which provides the incentive behind all striving and activity upon the
outer plane,as man attempts to satisfy desire.

From these forms the individual seeker has ever to rid hinself, emerging after so doing
through that gate, which leads to initiation into wider levels of consciousness.

Another aspect of glamour is the false images and shadows cast by the relative reflection
of the real,in particular the illusion and persistence of the "many" while distracting the
senses from finding and realising the ONE that IS!

Re: The nature of glamour, and its hold on us.

Hi Michael. You have described glamour from the supply side.

The demand side is even more mysterious. There is an amazing need! Hollywood, the Royal Family, celebrities, popes, movers-shakers etc etc.

Before we comment on the mental and emotional impoverishment of those suffering from this need we should consider its "relatives" which begin to have some tribal survival value.

Such are I think medicine men, traditional things (so they don't have to be reinvented constantly, habits), respect, authority rightly placed.

Unfortunately these tribal things take on a life of their own and perplex the individual who tends to act more "scientificly" on his own behalf.

Thanks jim,yes indeed, the current of glamour runs deeply within us all,it takes great
effort and focussed intent to exit its deluded flow!
