I witnessed intelligence firsthand a few months ago,and it came from an insect! When we
were in Costa-Rica a few moths ago,we had to travel by boat out to sea, into the pacific
ocean,go around a headland then up a river to a jungle lodge, while in the boat,I felt
something grab my finger!Startled at first,I looked down and saw a huge green grass-
hopper clutching my finger, now the trip was very rough,we had several attempts to try
and get through huge breakers, and outinto the open ocean, the wind was blowing a gale
and waves were washing into the boat,we were all soaked to the skin, now this little
insect seemed to be hanging on for dear life,i could feel its little legs gripping tighter,
it was as though this little fellow knew he was safe, aslong as he held on,I took of my
cap and held it over my other hand to protect it from the spray,it sat there quietly.
When we finally arrived at our destination, feeling somewhat queasy in the stomach
we got of the boat, the little fellow on my finger, was now washing itself, cleaning of the
salt water,it then sort of cocked its little head at me,looked for a while, then jumped of
to resume its day,it had I think the intelligence to hold on,until it was safe to leave.

regards michael.

The line is the truth. Intelligence lives in the realm of reality; insanity lives in the realm of falseness. Lloyd, please tell me you only posted that to make a point that those not living in reality don't know what the whole truth is, and may confuse it with absolute physical truth?
No, I meant it as a method of critical thought, so science can be differentiated from non-science, or physics from metaphysics, as there seems to be so much cross-confusion going on in the ToeQuest forums, of late. Scientists are only interested in absolute physical truth, while they are trying to clarify their physical ideas and theories, although we do have the same human feelings as any living metaphysical being. Just trying to find a better path to straighten out critical thinking abilities, of us few scientists, compared to the overwhelming number of metaphysical posters, in this or any public forum. I plan on putting it all together, philosophically, with physics and metaphysics, when our theories are completed on the scientific side first, but it's rather hard to maintain science threads, when they're always being invaded by metaphysics, that does not yet belong in them___that's later...

Thanks,
Lloyd

Lloyd,

Did I misunderstand what philosophy means specific to TOE Quest? Some boards have unique definitions... is this philosophy forum supposed to be only for the philosophy of the physical realm?

No, you certainly did not, but I am specifically referring to the thread topics being respected, for what they are trying to discuss, and where philosophy is usually concerned, it is usually a more open forum, but when the thread says logic, etc., and metaphysics tries to dominate such a thread, it's kinda off topic, don't you think? So many people, way back before you became active, starting crossing up the threads topics, that we all started invading each's territory of topics, if you know what I mean. Since it's become so convoluted, isn't it about time to either bring some respect back to the thread's themes, or find new ways of grounding a particular thread's meaning and theme, in a more productive linguistics. Since I don't see much of a chance of restoring thread respect, when there are such divergent opinions of ideas, and freedom of posters, I choose to create a new linguistics, to surpass this nonsense process of constant bickering... Do you really blame me...?

Regards,
Lloyd

Intelligence is knowing that you know, and then understanding exactly what that means?

In knowingly reflecting the journey of expansive living, and viewing this with objectivity
and dispassion, leads to the conclusion that intellegence is in evidence and has the wisdom
to know the difference?
