Need a Math Category - 06-21-2005, 03:08 AM

I think we need a Math Category in the ToeQuest Forums. Especially since the forums support LaTeX with some members using this feature. I'd like to start a discussion here on what forums would be appropriate for a Mathematics category. I don't want forums such as Calculus, Differential Equations, Algebra, as are defined in other science forums. I'd like some forums at a higher level of abstraction, and forums that are more related to the mathematics of the theory of everything. Please offer your suggestions here and I'll take them under consideration. Thanks!

Regards,
--Robert

Well, I think that most of the members, we don't have knowledge of the abstract math of string theory, or heim theory.

Maybe a forum called "Math of your TOE" would be good, because it would be connected to TOE research, would give liberty of showing self-developed math, and would appear in a wide variety of levels of abstraction.

The mathematics of general and special relativity and of quantum mechanics should also have a forum because they are the basis of many TOE attepts.
