kindest regards michael. | What do you mean, are you criticizing my claim that space, time, energy... are not infinite, or that asserting that these are not relative, or something else?

when we can measure something it can't be infinite. Space, time, energy can't be infinite. well we can measure it, can't we?
Guille,
I don't get your distinction between infinity and infinite. Infinity is like a number which we use to count infinite. Just like 1 to count one apple. So neither infinity or infinite can exist. That's the secret to life... replace one worry with another.

Infinity just might be a place where one finds an infinite number. And please allow me to add it is, must be, neither infinity nor the infinite can exist. Should the universe decide to up your blessing count to infinite, your mind might be persuaded to change in the most gentle of ways. Oh, well, call me a bit of dreamer....

If we can count upto infinity then it is not infinity at all is that what you are trying to tell. Well then i will agree with the fact that number of universe is not infinite when we count them. That's the secret to life... replace one worry with another.

Mohan, I agree. Infinity is a concept, just as zero is a concept. The first is only interesting if it is the beginning of something. The first is not interesting if it is the only - Djanet Sears

I'm not sure that nothing can be done using it. Practically speaking it represents a limit. Just because we can't get there doesn't mean it doesn't exist (kind of like andromeda...). When we develop hypotheses, it is an important consideration. The first is only interesting if it is the beginning of something. The first is not interesting if it is the only - Djanet Sears

Yes I do agree infinity is a limit. That's the secret to life... replace one worry with another.

i think that the universes are rolled and scrambled to each other. this explains the curled dimensions of the string theory
