To be sure. Universes are as common in the greater universe as stars or planets. We may think that our universe is uncommon and special. But its not. Universes are as common as can be. Any time a new heaven and a new earth is needed, another universe is formed.

There is the dimension in which all possible universes exist, evolving in potential form, some doing much better than others, of which ours was one of the best, for it led to mammal consciousness.

At the risk of sounding anthropic, I imagine all of them led to consciousness of one form or anther. But that's just me. We build houses to live in, Austin, not to look at.

Or it was the achievement of mammal consciousness that brought ours into the real being from the possible state, much as an observation of the quantum realm can summon a particle into being.

Re: Where are the other universes?

Quantum particles are not summoned into being. Sometimes they lie in 4-space and fail to intersect with our 3-space, then suddenly intersect and appear to be summoned, but the particles were in 4-space all the time. Their absence in 3-space is not proof of their nonexistence, only proof that they have not intersected.

The same may be true of consciousnesses. They are there...in four-space...building houses...little starter universes to occupy and grow up in.

Your 4-space is all possible universes, the natural and logical extension of dimension from 3D, which is but one universe [in 3D].

I would be inclined to say it differently. The 4-space is the place in which all other universes move, it is not all possible universes. Its the place that contains them--in the same way that 3-space contains all the planets and stars.

But the quantum particle is a special case. The quantum particle can also move in 4-space, but it has 4 dimensions, when the universe only has three (unless said universe is stretching, which is also possible)...

Hi G....I love it when you end your posts with that little "hee hee"...chuckles...the only reason I am mixed up is because I have experienced another universe and its beings...trying to figure out the complexities of all that entailed...they are as real as us so had to ask myself "what gives here????"

It just seems that 4-space would contain more, rather than equal or less, of what is in 3-D, such as all of time for one universe or even all possible ones…

Of course this is all for fun as we get creative with our own "slim chances", since we'll probably never know…

Re: Where are the other universes?

I don't know Austin. I would think that each dimension comes with it's own limits. The only limitless dimension would be the 0 dimension of the dimensionless point. The 1st dimension would have a limit as to length. The second has two limits length and width. The 3rd has 3 limits length, width and heigth. The 4th dimension as to time.

In other words, you could put an infinite number of dimensionless points on to a line that is Planck Length and close to an infinite number of Planck Length lines into a defined area, but not infinite. Only so many angels can dance on the head of the pin if they are of real substance.
