Re: Where are the other universes?

Well, then, Prof, it's the 5th dimension that is not real substance, but is the possibility [in potential] of all possible universes evolving away, some going inert, some doing half-OK, and some doing so fine as ours did, and so becoming real, thus explaining all the weird and haphazard brainless mindless indirection of luck and chance fortune that we see behind us as a more rare and lucky and almost impossible seeming roll of the dice to win the jackpot over 13.75 billion years of "progress" as slow as a crippled snail swimming in mud during a thunderstorm.

Re: Where are the other universes?

And yet here we are Austin, made from that mud or clay that snail is moving in. ( star dust ). Go figure, what are the odds? Complete with the ability and capacity to imagine and love and dream. To have vision and aspirations, and inspirations, and yes faith, something we all have.

I know of only ONE UNIverse, ours. And that is enough for me. There may be multiverses or a parallel universe, but quite honestly, would it make a difference?

Other universes make no difference to us, Prof, unless they come over to see us, which may not even be possible; they are only of our fun imaginary makings, an attempt to explain how this random unguided good fortune could have come to us other than as just good fortune…

Then they have a good purpose Austin, real or imagined.

A 'parallel universe' which we are able to observe (if that's what you mean by "come over to see us") would, by definition, be part of our universe.

    Hi Neutralino;

    Would we then have biverses?

Well, then, either the universes are so far apart as to never get close to each other, all being of the same general space, or it is that there is no physical way for the universes to meet or know each other.

Also, if there is a big bounce to our own universe, then the next one after the bounce will know nothing of ours. Darn, there goes all my poems and writings smashed to smithereens!

Hi neutralino...when you say a parallel universe if possible to observe and experience would be part of our universe would this not make it just a dimension of our universe as opposed to being another universe of its own???

I think Mikal that if there were other Beings, they may not look like us at all.
nor would we even know they were here from there.
the more recent discovery that we have a form of life here on earth that can live in space leads me to think that the event of going between one universe and another would be in a being scale of less then intelligent life nor ever perceptional aware that we were even in exist. ... If by OBE we might run into the critters they would seem to be what ever our mind would want them to be ... It would be a water world from whence they came being we have such enticing water .. probably from a gas giant and are more then likely in our tap water if one must give odds.

In reality they would look as strange as a platypus but just seem to doing it right in going about there little ways as unconscious little tourists ... amoeba brains and all .. maybe taking up deep sea diving will be rewarding to you in discovery .. maybe the intelligence of an octopus should be noted as an alien prospect? ... hmm we could write a book on this! I will talk to sage if he is not too busy.... where is the men in black when you need them? hee hee ~ kind regards g.

Re: Where are the other universes?

Hi G....I would not be talking about an OBE here...I would be talking about beings different from us who can approach us more than likely from the energy field around our bodies if that energy field is sentiently enlivened...

Its kind of like Ian Lawton stated in his book..Genesis Unveiled..."it is abundantly clear that when we accept there are dimensions beyond the physical, we face considerable difficulties in distinguishing between extraterrestial and spiritual phenomena."

Lawton postulated that it is not inconsistent with a spiritual worldview that extraterrestial races exist on other planes where they have mastered the art of interstellar travel , are far more spiritually advanced than us and can therefore manipulate the boundaries between the physical and ethereal realms...

This statement alone became a saving grace for me as I experienced the beings outside of either NDE or OBE....but certainly after what I would call my own spiritual awakening...
